Location very convenient for the old town. Breakfast was great, everything you could want (would be nice to have some fresh fruit salad). Rooms spacious and comfortable. Pool was good, although a little cold still in mid April! Can also walk to the town beach. Hotel is very spartan, could do with a bit of colour (just my preference). But the staff are what makes this hotel, they were all very friendly, very helpful, nothing too much trouble, they can help with anything.

The room was magnificent the hotel faces the sea. The appearance and description was exactly how it appeared on booking.com. The breakfast was amazing with a great selection everyday. Bed and shower were great.

Location between Old Town & Neo Chora can’t be beat. Staff were fantastic especially Anna Maria at front desk. Free parking outside hotel a bonus. Generous & comfortable room with Seaview balcony. Breakfast was amazing both for food & efficiency of super friendly staff.

There were no teacups, only Nespresso size cups so although there was a kettle, we could not make a cup of tea. We did not use the Nespresso machine as the coffee it makes is too sweet for us. The English breakfast was more a mix of English/ Greek, but the fruit was good.

In high season, the parking situation might get a little overwhelmed I could imagine, but at the start of November when we were there, there was no problem at all.

Lovely hotel. The balcony was big, with a couple of chairs and table (and a really handy clothes horse), and looked out to the ocean.... Really relaxing to keep the door to it open as you sleep. The room and bathroom were both great, and the shower was particularly good. Really nice vibe in the room - boutiquey feel. The TV was really easy to mirror to from a phone helpfully as well. All the staff were welcoming, helpful and nice. The breakfast was good - especially cooking eggs various ways in the moment.... As a vegetarian, the veggie-loaded omelettes were a particular bonus, and the dakos (a rellado-like grated tomato on Cretan rusks) was really tasty. Fantastic location too - walking distance to historical points of interest, good restaurants (the staff were good with knowledgeable taverna recommendations for food especially), and shopping areas. Would definitely recommend, and would absolutely stay there again.

There was absolutely nothing to criticize ; however a hotel was being built next door so there were occasional construction noises. This did not prevent us from having our breakfasts on the outside terrace

The hotel location was ideal, a few steps to town or the beach. Our balcony overlooked the ocean and the town so we enjoyed the view and the morning and evening breezes. We also watched the sunset from the sunset bar on the 7th floor where you were able to have a swim in the pool or a relaxing drink from the bar. The breakfast buffet was extensive with choices of Greek delicacies. You could also order eggs made to your fancy. And the staff was super friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions, make recommendations or have a quick chat

It was kind of weird that the property took our car keys. They ended up moving our car without telling us or telling us it was a possibility. Not a bad thing but just felt a little strange. Still an amazing hotel with great staff

The hotel is very clean and the staff are really nice. The breakfast is amazing, and the staff working there makes it 7 stars. Everything went smooth, it’s an amazing place to spend holidays in Chania. Wifi works perfect, room extremely clean, people working there the best!!! Recommended. Unfortunately there is a building site directly over the road with very noisy machinery. They started early in the morning and also meant time by the pool was noisy. Nothing the hotel could do about that though!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at SanSal Boutique Hotel for part of our honeymoon. The location was absolutely perfect with an easy walk to many restaurants and shopping in the old town. But it was the wonderful staff that made our stay truly exceptional – everyone was very friendly and helpful, and made us feel at home throughout our stay with personal touches. We enjoyed our breakfast every morning, and drinks and food at the rooftop pool bar were good. It was also very helpful to have parking right at the hotel (we would have had a lot of trouble parking in other areas of the city).
