We fully recommended this hotel. Hotel has the Best location if you want vist the Best beach on Crete (if you have a car). From hotel to the all beaches is average 45min drive. All Staff is so helpful and nice persons. Breakfest was very good. Thank you for everything.

A very comfortable hotel with more than adequate facilities for guests. Conveniently located with an excellent restaurant a few minutes walk away. Breakfasts were tailored to ones persnal needs and perfectly cooked and presented. IOANNIS the hotel's owner and manager went out of his way to provide help and advice. Very comfortable solution in the quiet village of Kaliviani. Ideal position if you want to reach Balos beach by walking. The room was large and comfortable and had a nice view on the landscape. The staff was very kind and helpful.

Location, attention to detail with all the facilities, cleanliness, shower, balcony with sea view, breakfast (which was superb…lovely coffee in individual cafetières, fresh orange juice, fresh fruits, eggs (tasty scrambled eggs!), bread and local jams plus yoghurt and cold meats/cheeses if you also want).

The pillows are very hard and tall, not very comfortable which resulted low sleep quality. Would be good to have options. Also, with two big suitcases, climbing up the stairs was a bit tiring. We didn’t really mind though

On the way to Balos, very clean and spacious. Staff very friendly and flexible. Stylish room and modern facility. Facing the sea with great views.

The simplicity of the hotel is what makes it great, but if some guests are looking for extra amenities, these would be missing here.

We stayed 5 nights at Kaliviani Traditional Hotel and visited from here Balos, Elafonisi, Phalasarna, and villages around. The room was spacious and clean with a beautiful view of the sunrise if you're brave to wake up before 6h45 in the summer! We know we enjoyed it 🤩 Breakfasts at the hotel were delicious and just what we needed to fuel the start of our days! But the highlight of the hotel is Yianni (the owner, receptionist and cook), we particularly enjoyed his sense of humour and his wisdom on the philosophy of life! We left feeling grateful and satisfied with our stay and would come back again/recommend for those visiting!

We loved our stay at Kaliviani Traditional Hotel, the room was comfortable and clean with sea view, there was a great restaurant nearby and the breakfast that we ate at the hotel was perfectly prepared and delicious. There were beautiful beaches nearby and Ioannis is a great host, he gave us some useful tips. I definitely recommend this place, I wish we come back ;)

Kaliviani Hotel is located in a beautiful, quaint village with an authentic vibe. You won’t find many party goers around there which makes it even more special. Ioannis is a kind and helpful host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at his place and would recommend it to anyone (with access to a car).

Located in the beautiful village of Kaliviani on the road to breathtaking Balos bay. Amazing view! Beach can be reached on foot in 20 to 25 minutes. Several really good restaurants in the village. Perfect location for trips in the South West of the island when you have a car. Also really nice spot fo a hike to Balos bay or Falasarna beach. Ioannis is a perfect host and i really eager to help in case you have some questions. Bed was perfect and place was really calm and quiet during the night. Will definitly come back!

We enjoyed our stay very much so we would merely suggest maybe installing more shelves/ drawers to provide enough storage space and perhaps making the door a bit more soundproof to insulate the noise from the corridor.

The location: Close proximity to Kissamos town, Balos, and Phalasarna beaches. Not that far away from Chania town or Elafonisi beach as well. The room: It was cleaned every day. Spacious room with new/modern furniture and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Beautiful view over the Kissamos Gulf. The staff: Ioannis is a really nice guy. He was always friendly and very helpful. Great breakfast!

A good starting point for some days to visit west Crete by car Nice appartment, beautiful bathroom, van and air condition, balcony 3 Restaurants and 2 taverns in less than 5min walk distance Kaliviani beach is really beautiful. Nice stoney beach, perfect water, no one around but also no taverne, dont forget a sun protection The way to the beach is not that beautiful but ok

only at the departure we discovered several pillows we had in the room had different “softness” while they looked similar :/ and we were looking for softer pillows 😆

Modern amenities while preserving traditional look and feel, very comfortable room, great location to discover iconic beaches of the west of Crete - Balos and Elafonisis (must do both), 100m from several great restaurants but far enough for peace and quiet, great host and owner Ioannis, speaks wonderful English and serves the best breakfast! totally worth it!
