Lovely room with an excellent location. The hotel owner was extremely polite and helpful, giving us plenty of good tips on restaurants, places to see and things to do. The breakfast in the small nearby restaurant was also great and the staff very kind.

We stayed in the hotel during the low season, and there was a lot of building works on the same street, which was noisy on some mornings.

The location was excellent, very close to lots of good restaurants, the harbour and a nice walk to the beach. The room was very comfortable and clean with nice modern fittings. Idomeneas, the owner, was extremely friendly and helpful. He was very knowledgeable of the area and always willing to help out. Although we didn’t really need to use it (because of the time of year) the aircon was good.

We shared room number 400 between 3 ladies, we all gasped when we went up to the private roof terrace, there is a much better sea view than it looks on the photos, it gets the sun & has lots of seating & a large dining table/chairs, it is fabulous. We went up there for breakfast, drinks before & after dining out & even an afternoon siesta! A really great space. Our host was so friendly & gave us suggestions of things to do & where to eat, we took up the recommendations & had an amazing break. The room was fantastic too - there are 2 lovely separate bedrooms, spacious, light & a small kitchenette allows for buying breakfast items & drinks in for the stay. We found the beds comfy, including the sofa bed in the living area which folds out to just like a double bed. The location could not be more ideal - in a cute street in the old town, a few minutes away from the harbour front with all the bars/restaurants/shops. We also walked 15 minutes to Neo Chora for the beach which is lovely, and has nice tavernas especially for fish/seafood. We hadn't taken swimming stuff but we just bought things locally & borrowed beach towels from the hotel. So it was a great mix of old town charm and beach area.

Absolutely nothing!

We loved absolutely everything about this property - the neighborhood, cleanliness, style. The best past however was Idomeneas himself! He is probably the happiest, most pleasant person we have ever met and had all the perfect recommendations - restaurants, activities, and he even parked our rental car for us! This was a fabulous stay!!

The Hamin Studios was a terrific stay. In the heart of Chania, minutes from everything. The rooftop was spectacular and the rooms were all clean, well designed and beautiful. Idomeneas went out of his way to accommodate whatever we needed and WhatsApp’d us restaurants with menu links and arranged our airport transport. Everyday he checked in to see if we needed anything. A terrific host!!! Couldn’t have been an easier stay!

Excellent boutique hotel. The owner Idomeneas is exceptionally friendly and helpful. He spent about 30 min going through Chania, what to do in the area, and provided great recommendations. He was very available throughout our stay and accommodating. The room was spacious with comfortable mattress.

The apartment was really good, clean, a lot of light, just as on pictures. In the city center of the old town. Close to everything. A lot of options for food, market, shops, etc. Little noise till Midnight but it is ok because you are in the city center! The host was very kind, helpful and always available. Breakfast was included for us, it was in nearby cafe, really nice and filling. Would definitely suggest to stay. Totally met the expectations.

We were looking for 2 hotel rooms (for two couples) but instead found this 2BR apartment with roof terrace. I'm glad that we did. The roof terrace (which is only available to the top floor apartment) is fantastic. Great place to hang out, with a view to the harbor. The owner Idomeneus is a wonderful resource. Acting as both concierge and tour guide - he helped us with every question large and small. Always a text message away. Wonderful location in the heart of the old town. The building is recently & nicely renovated - all new. Be aware that the old town is offlimits to vehicles - so you will need to walk in with your baggage. Be prepared for that. Also - there is no elevator, so be prepared for climbing stairs.

As soon as we booked we got a massage from Idomeneas asking us if weneed anything, we booked a taxi from him and we have got a luxury van with comfortable baby seats and new. As we got there he welcomed us warmely with water and coffee. Idomeneas gave us a lot of advice about the places we can see and good resturants. The room were super new clean and comfy. The lights and the colors of the rooms is relaxing and the jaccuz is fun as well. They give 4 expresso each day and 3 water bottles which is nice too. When ever we needed help idomeneas was there for us. I would surely come back!!

Our stay at the Hanim Boutique Hotel was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with smile, warmth and genuine hospitality by the owner. He gave us excellent recommendations for nearby attractions and restaurants and made sure our stay was comfortable and that all our needs were met. The location of the hotel is great, the room was immaculate and the breakfast at the nearby café was delicious. We cannot recommend Hanim Boutique Hotel highly enough.

A gracious welcome, helpful advice by the owner Idomeneo. Lighting well thought out. Felt modern in design. A pleasure to walk up a beautiful wooden staircase. The products supplied were of good quality. Even the hairdryer was tops. The air conditioning was silent and easy to adjust. HThe breakfast provided by the hotel in nearby church square was plentiful and delicious and the service impeccable. Chania is a very sophisticated and beautiful place. I would return to shamim in a flash.

The shower in the second bathroom (opening onto the living room) has only a tiny trickle of hot water. We reported this to staff, but they were not able to fix during our stay. Hopefully this is fixed for future guests.

We stayed in the top-floor apartment with rooftop terrace. The terrace was beautiful to enjoy apéro at sunset. Well worth the climb up four flights of stairs. The apartment was very clean and comfortable for 2 couples, with 2 bathrooms, each with its own shower. Kitchenette was small but well equipped with stove, oven, microwave, toaster, Nespresso. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Idomeneas offered us many tips and booked several dinners for us nearby that were very good. The included daily breakfast at a nearby café was incredible.

Heads up: No elevator in the hotel. Not a deal breaker by any means but be warned if you're on that fourth floor and have some heavy luggage.

Incredible location! Right in the heart of the Old Town. Perfectly appointed room and personal service. Everything you'd expect from a boutique hotel. Idomeneas at the front desk was absolutely fantastic. Despite having a late arrival to Chania, he met up with us, made sure everything was perfect so we immediately relax after traveling the entire day. He gave us all great local places to eat, best things to see in Chania, best ways to get there. He's a treasure trove of information. He's adds a personal touch to service which is rare. For example on our check out he gifted us some olive oil he personally pressed from his trees, honey, and local mountain tea from Crete. We were fortunate enough to book the upper floor of the hotel which includes the roof top. It's a great place to sit and relax at night if you're too tired from running around all day or just need a break. Absolutely would stay there again.

Hospitality at this hotel exceeds any experience I’ve had. It’s obvious staff wants to be sure your comfortable and have a good trip. When it was apparent we were leaving early for beach day we were given extra towels and a voucher for breakfast since we would leave before typical breakfast was available. Location, in heart ofbustling Chania lovely yet when you enter the room you found peace and quiet.

Located in the centre of the old town, everything in 5-10 min walking distance. Wonderful traditional cretan breakfast in a local cafe (and alternatives for the days we had to get up earlier). The hosts were the definition of greek hospitality, always available, with great insider tips. We really enjoyed our stay there, 100% recommended!

Loved everything about our stay

Idomeneas (owner) is one of the best hosts I have come across. It felt like being welcomed by a close friend. He was there to help at every step and available 24/7. He gave us all the information any one would need while visiting Chania. The hotel itself is exceptionally located in the heart of old town with harbour at 2 min walk, all the bars, restaurants, shops, sites located with in a short walk from the hotel. We were assisted with car hire, food options and even a special gift when we were leaving the property. I give it a 10/10 It is a great place for anyone visiting Chania. The amenities are great. Room itself was clean and cleaned everyday with fresh towels, bedsheets, all the toiletries, regular top up of bottled water and nespresso pods.
