Our room was good but bathroom a little small and not well designed The shower didn’t run away properly and the toilet seat would not stay up so it was on your back whilst you used it 😂

No “DND” signs provided, so it was not possible to skip the cleaning. The gym! Super-old, half of machines were broken. No vegan food options (even alternative milk). Super-long gap between dinner and lunch. Breakfast lasted from 07:30 to 11:00, lunch was between 12:00 and 14:30, and dinner started at 19:00. There were no food options in this gap, expect for a small amount of snacks (cookies and small sandwiches) on the bar.

We found the mattresses very hard and did not care for the “evening party program”, but that’s just not for us and we only stayed for two nights so it didn’t bother us at all.

The bed was hard and even with the blanket we were cold in the night. The location wasn’t amazing, you would have to take the car to do things.

We only stayed one night but the food was good and the room was clean. The bar next to the pool was nice and the waiter was really friendly.

Staff are very friendly! Was easy to talk to them and they were always available to help if needed. We loved the restaurant. There was always a good choice of food, something for everyone, even fussy eaters. We really loved the Asian food on a Sunday night!! Entertainment wasn't every night but when they had it it was really good. We loved the rock band the most :) We would recommend this place and would come back again!

The floaded bathroom from the shower that that most of animation was made by the computer and they took 5 euro for every bingo card. It took several minutes the water to warm.

The facility was very clean. The room was sea view with a terrace. There was a bottle of wine in the room some sweets and two bottles of water for free. There was a kettle. The safe cost 2 euro per day. The meals were good with a weekly Asian dinner. Gyros and suflaki a lot of fruits and vegetables.The beverages are local. The cocktails are varied but they were not brands. The staff is very kind and polite. The stretching lessons were very good. Victoria the receptionist was very attentive. Nikola and were very serviceable. Our maid was super she made up the beds perfectly.

The showers in the rooms are to the same floor's level and you dont have any door or curtain in order to be isolated. In consequence, all your bathroom is after some minutes totally damp, no matter how carefully you are during you take the shower.

All the employes are really nice and are attempts to your needs all the time. At the beginning we've received another room at we've booked, but the day after we've clarified the situation and inmediatelly we've received a new one in the new building, which is really confortable. The rooms pictures from the main building, or the original part, are not showed in Booking. In my opinion, those rooms should be showed as well cuz are really different to those which they publish the hotel or from the new building. Food is really good and drinks are always available. Offers about activities like ping-pong are all the time available and there shows on the night like live music are always present and really good as well.

Gouves Bay hotel is a lovely place. Super clean, relaxed, modern, our room was a little on the small side but we had a balcony which made all the difference. The staff are just brilliant - kind, helpful, fun and professional. The food is plentiful, tasty, every day they change the menu and always have a wide variety of meat, fish, veggies/salads deserts... I put on at least a stone in weight! Cretan white wine on tap - just yum. The restaurant closes quite early - 9.30pm and then after you need to get all-inclusive drinks from the pool bar, which would be fine if they served more than a thimbleful! Entertainment was classy, fun and finishes at 11pm. Gouves itself is a peaceful place with lots of lovely beaches. The people are wonderful. I fell in love with Greece during my stay there...if you're looking for nightlife and high-energy holiday, this is not the place for you. If you want quality, tranquility and comfortability, then this is for you!

The pool is quite small, there is no beach in front of the hotel, the food had no taste, cheap drinks.

The rooms are clean and nice with everything you need in the bathroom, beautiful garden, free parking, kind staff. Regarding the price we paid (around 84€/night for 2 persons), would be a good deal for an all inclusive hotel. Close to the Heraklion airport (20 mins).

I didn’t not, not anything. if I was being picky then the air con in the rooms could be better it just wasn’t cold enough, and for me only more yoga. Yoga is on the activity list but never happened. Maybe advertise it as lots of people look for places that do yoga and I didn’t know until I turned up that yoga was done here.

There was nothing not to like really staff were outstanding, friendly helpful fun. The hotel is lovely and a great location big bonus not many British guests. The pool is lovely, there is entertainment almost every evening. The food choices were amazing every meal. If you are going on a day trip they pack a lunch for you if you let them know the night before. The restaurant and bar staff were just lovely and a big thank you to the reception staff who are so accommodating. The staff go over and above to make your stay special. Gouves is a lovely place not too busy. Kostas at the bar has an amazing playlist of music during the day and evening. Not everyone’s taste but we loved it. Couple of great live acts, dancing singing bingo quizzes. So much to do.

Food needs improvement. The size of the pool is not very big and it gets crowded sometimes. Pool beds can be hard to find.

The strongest point of this hotel is its staff. Knowledgeable, efficient and usually with a smile. A special mention for the great SPA team (Kostas and Maria), whose magic hands gave us a very enjoyable and therapeutic massage experience. Also Katerina the receptionist is very sweet and welcomes the guests with a smile. Comfortable rooms, clean, and cool. Deep swimming pool, as I like them.

The size of the bathroom, no shower door, at least supply a squeegee so guests can dry the floor. I’m surprised I didn’t see people rushed off to hospital after slipping on the wet floor. Also, one of the girls at the restaurant holds the cutlery from their heads when setting tables (very unhygienic, she cleans the tables and handles the chairs with the same hands). And people grab loungers and don’t use them! Also, pool not very clean.

The size (small enough), the location (quiet area), the food, the friendly staff and cleanliness. Food was excellent, wine and beer tasty. Coffee weak but I suppose it suits many.

The beach in front of the hotel is bubbly so not suitable for kids , you have to walk around 500 meter right or left to reach a sandy beach but it was OK. Swimming pool is deep but small but we were in the sea all the time .

Staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is fantastic with music all the time at the bar , open buffet is generous with many options . The hotel is in front of the beach directly and is supplied with many beds and facilities outside. Perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sea .
