Nice and clean room, confortable bed. Super good onsite restaurant with a beautiful ocean-front terrace, with excellent food and wine and very attentive service. Very nice and helpful hosts/owners. Great location, very nice views, also from the room.

I had so much fun staying here after hiking Samaria Gorge! Mr. Nektarius and his wife were so welcoming and kind and I felt at home the minute I got there. The room was simple but it was very clean, good air conditioning, and the view was great. 10/10 would recommend staying here!

Nothing really, all was nice and friendly :)

We loved staying at Faragi! The room was very clean and the beds are comfy. The owners are wonderful people and they spoiled our daughter and us with their local produce and hospitality. I recommend trying the Dakos and their fish which is fresh. We were there for 4 nights and hope to return soon! If you are coming from Samaria gorge, this is the place to stay for the night and enjoy a quiet evening after the boats have left. Nectariu and Ioana (she is Romanian) will take good care of you!

Nothing to dislike

Possibly the only truly family tavern in Agia Roumeli. The best part - they got rooms! I enjoyed a delicious meal, and a sensory experience that I dreamed of for years. The silence and calmness of the evening complemented the aromas of the fresh dishes, served near the beach, at one of their few tables, the view from the room terrace. The attention and discretion of the restaurant owner, Mr. Nectarios, who offered me as a gift two small bottles - one with olive oil and one with brandy. Thank you very much!

The only thing I would have liked is a bigger bathroom and softer pillows but one can’t have all I guess!

There was nothing I didnt’ like, let’s start with that. The owner, Nektarios, and his wife make you feel like family. That’s why it’s the second year I visit this place and already looking forward to next year. Room is plain but comfortable and has more than you need for a short or even longer stay. Personally I feel like home whenever I go. Nektarios is a trully genuine hospitable Cretan, always caring about his guests. That is rare in our days and greatly appreciated. Last year he helped me get my car key that came by courier to Sfakia from Athens just in time so as not to miss the ferry back. Wouldn’t have made it without him. The mere fact that this morning, before I checked out, he was really disheartened by a bad review that came from a guest that cancelled his reservation while the gorge was closed, wasn’t charged, but still gave a bad review without even visiting the place, shows how much he cares about his business and his good name. Thank you for everything!

The host is extremely kind and helpful, always there to answer requests. He's also taking care of the restaurant and each time he was checking if we're satisfied. The location is very good, just 1-2 minutes from the ferry and from the beach. The apartment was clean, well-equipped even with a hairdryer and tampoons.

I have no major complaints about this hotel. The only thing I could say is that the bathroom was a bit tricky to use on a nighttime due to a big step - but that's hardly a complaint worth making!

I booked this last minute after a day of hiking to reach Agia Roumeli. We had intended to camp but decided that a room would be a nice upgrade. I had no trouble booking and when we arrived we were warmly greeted and shown to a nice room. Nektarios the owner is a very nice man and the rest of his staff were good too. I'd happily stay here again in the future.

We spent here one night after Samaria gorge trekking, and we dinned in the same place. The room was really comfortable, the staff and the owner were extremely kind! They have a really good choice of traditional greek dishes as well as fresh fishes from their fishing boat. Very recommend for the location too! Agia Roumeli is almost completely car free, at night you can fall asleep surrounded by the sound of the sea.
