The location is perfect! On a beautiful street close to the sea and just off the hustle and bustle of the old town, near some great restaurants, but the apartment is quiet at night so you get the best of both. The balcony is a great place to relax and watch the world go by. It was clean, the the communication was excellent, we decided to spend an extra night here because of how good it was. Sad to leave!

- there wasn’t much space to unpack your luggage and get your clothes more accessible (cuz u need the only space you have at the door for the additional bed equipment provided). so it is ok for short term stays - provided products in the bath (shower gel and shampoo) were not sufficient for the amount of days and also of bad quality - if you had a problem, there isn’t anyone there to talk to. all is done online and you checkin by yourself basically

- the terrace upstairs was the best!!! - location (in the old city, next to everything important) but still quiet - charming eastern European interior - it was clean (except 2 hairs in the shower and the cup for the toothbrush - just two apartments in the building, so it is very private

it’s not something that bothered us, however people should keep that in mind- there is some noice. The building is authentic and it’s normal in my opinion to hear neighbours/street traffic. It just can’t be insulated like a normal building can. However the street is not very busy. It wasn’t a problem for us.

We were not big fans of Chania, as the city can get pretty busy and crowded, but this hotel is absolutely perfect. Amazing location to observe the buzzing tourist center from afar and everything one might need: beach towels, hair dryer, great shower. Absolutely perfect!

really minor, but I had to actively get in touch with the owner to get info on check in. compared to other places I have stayed at in Chania, the owner did not provide recommendations but was still responsive.

:D I didn't like that I could not personally thank the owner, shake his hand ... But nothing, next time. In the meantime, everything is remote, super.))

1) received the code in advance from the key box; 2) they have already removed it early in the morning and notified that they are waiting; 3) check-in at a convenient time; 4) stylishly reproduced antiquity of the apartment; 5) I love the historical accuracy of this 10/10 (Venetian quarters); 6) with all modern attributes; 7) excellent dry white wine, olive oil, vinegar, vodka and water as a compliment; 8) not far from the coast, in the center of the old city, and at the same time it is not noisy; 9) the electric stove works, but does not match the numbers, but heats up well; 10) full immersion in the atmosphere of royal Greece.

It was. Very hard to find a spot to park the car, because it is in the middle of the old town.

We liked everything about this place. We were offered a bottle of wine and there was coffee for the morning.a doll of a place ack in the middle of the old medieval town of Chania. Extremely picturesque and old fashioned traditional with all necessary amenities. Easy access to the place, apart from the parking.

WOW. Right in the middle of old town Chania you couldn't get a better location. Very central and easy to reach the bus stop, beaches, old town and plenty of restaurants. Would definitely stay again. Our plans in Crete were derailed due to an inability to rent a car so we booked this hotel room just 1 hour before we arrived. There is no staff to greet you, just a key to your room inside a lock box on the outer door making it the most convenient last minute hotel booking experience, dare I say, ever? The locals in the area were fantastic in helping us find the cute little blue door and the room itself was filled with culture and history. You could tell a lot of love went into it and they even provide Uzo upon your arrival ;). Was perfect for a last minute stay of 3 as the pull out sofa bed was large and comfy too. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything about Dioni is perfect and the host is a lovely and helpful person. I could check in as early as noon which gave much more time to enjoy the stay. I defenitely recommend Dioni! Just one thing you might want to know that it does tend to be a bit loud at night (since it's the heart of the tourist disctrict, no wonder, but then, the localization's great!) I think if you close the windows it should be no problem (I didn't do that and was ok).

Communication and check-in went smooth. The apartment has a great location, it was clean, bed was very comfortable. The apartment features some really nice decorations like painted nightstand, nicely painted doors. We would love to come back.
