Nice location. There was a hair dryer and a water boiler in the room. The bathroom seems to be recently renovated and the water had very good pressure. Very welcoming staff. You can choose your coffee at breakfast.

The room is very small ( the bathroom was very good except the shower hook at the top was broken ) and the mattress was well past it's sell by date, you could easily feel every spring !. The room made me feel that we are staying in a monks cell !!

A rather small room, not spacious --> not very comfortable. Frugal breakfast options (e.g. yogurt OR egg), industrialised (i.e. not local, or homemade) butter & marmalade/jam. The top (60cm) level of the sea water was rather unclear/'cloudy'/murky, most probably from nearby stream waters [but crystal clear, gorgeous70m visibility in the BELOW 60cm sea water bottom level!].

The view of the sea from the (shared with others) balcony. Very clean room with amenities. The beach is at a (2-minutes) walking distance. Breakfast at the owner's restaurant by the sea. The virtually nearby Minoan archeological site. Walking/Trekking opportunities (with marked paths).

there is nothing not to like

Rooms right on one of the most beautiful beaches in Crete, with fabulous archaeological Temple site right behind... no wonder we love staying here with our group. It is always challenging to find enough twin bed rooms , as not everyone in our company is couples, but Nikos is so helpful in trying to accomodate, and we usually defide the group between Coral Front and other rooms nearby to suit everyone. Accomodation is simple, and rooms are on the small side, but basically, we are outside all day, so who cares. Decent aircon and the sound of the waves all night. Stars and easy food and drinks right down a few steps... quiet, free sunbeds... heaven.

Lovely welcome in the Taverna next door. Stunning views of the sunrise and free beach access. Greatly appreciated the traditional greek breakfast which was included. Perfect location to explore the eastern coastline.

Room was smaller than presented at the pictures, and the terras was combined with the other rooms. But this was not really a negative point , because it all fitted perfectly with the soothing local atmosphere !

Super charming location, really "local Crete" in a remote but absolutely beautiful bay. Excellent combination with the owner's attractive tavern !

The room itself was very small. Too small to be honest for two of us. Although some apartments had views of the sea not all do, and mine didn't, though you only had to step outside for the view.

The apartment had a lovely location on the edge of the beach. From the communal balcony there are views east over the sea. There are a number of tavernas nearby.

We would love to have mosquito nets on the windows so you could have the air come in and the aircon off at night.

As always, a pleasure to stay here in Kato Zakros, right on the beach, with delicious breakfast, clean simple rooms and fantastic friendly service. It is beginning to feel like staying with family! Good aircon, good wifi, amazing sea and beach with free sunbeds and shade. We were very well looked after, and despite some of the group being a little challenging, all was dealt with professionally and with great kindness. The Temple -Palace of Zakros with it's healing springs and the 'Gorge of the Dead' are so worth a visit, the spring water is amazing and the wildlife therefore very rich. The road to get here is long and deliciously mountainous, but ash-felted all the way. The location is like no where else on earth and if you like quiet, out of the way, unspoilt 'wild' Crete, do not miss visiting! You will experience Greek hospitality at it's best.

The rest of the included breakfast was a little disappointing - just toast and butter/jam and a couple of little sweet doughnuts, but no choice offered at all. Maybe there could be an option to have something savoury and/or containing protein instead, as offered in the other accommodations I've stayed in so far in the last week (all priced lower than Coral Rooms, just for the record) - eggs or yoghurt maybe? Just a suggestion.. thank you.

The location is fabulous - you have the sound of waves breaking on the beach just below all night and a view to die for. The quality of build and fittings is very high, even if the room is small (would be very small for 2 people but fine for just me). Real coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast.

Bed uncomfortable, no TV in the room but shown in the room description. Booked 10 months in advance a sea view room, to be sure to have one with frontal sea view (more expensive than lateral sea view ones) but at the same price, had a lateral sea view one.

The location is wonderful, at the top of the beach commanding a view of sunrise over the ocean which is literally just yards away. Breakfast was on the terrace overlooking the sea and a choiçe of tavernas within a minutes easy stroll make life very comfortable.
