There was nothing we disliked!

This hotel was a lovely oasis in the quiet town of Chora Sfakion. The central courtyard was beautifully done in stone with the patios of the rooms looking down upon that as well as the town. The staff were friendly and welcoming and held our luggage in the office for us as we arrived before check-in time. When the room was ready, our bags were waiting for us in the room. The room was very comfortable with a king size bed, mini fridge, writing table, ample storage space and private balcony. The white walls, wood doors and windows and the entire accent wall of stone made the room very relaxing and welcoming.

The hotel staff gave us two recommendations. The first for breakfast (the hotel doesn’t serve one) just around the corner, an excellent bakery with great pastries. The second one for dining, the ‚Kitchen Stories‘ restaurant on the seafront with a 10 % discount for hotel guests. You should avoid this place, the dishes were barely tolerable. If you are looking for a better place to dine, visit Nikos Taverna and you will find a far better and less expensive menu.

A really nice boutique hotel in the heart of Sfakia, two minutes away from the seafront. Splendid view from the room’s terrace on the harbour and the coast. The rooms are well equipped, the beds are very comfortable, last not least the whole staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We haven’t seen a nicer hotel in town during our stay.

On our tour of Crete (Almyrida 4 nights, Cora Sfakion 3 nights, Agia Galini 3 nights, Archanes 3 nights) we felt very comfortable in the Authentic Village Boutic Hotel. The room, bathroom and the inner courtyard of the hotel complex were fantastically beautiful. Coffee pods, lemonade and water were free. We enjoyed the hikes on the first day from Chora Sfakia to Loutro and the following day from Loutro to Marmara Beach (What a beautiful restaurant there!) as well as the necessary boat passages.

Our room facing the sea was quite small. I saw another room not facing the sea and it seemed a little nicer and larger.

The staff were great, really friendly. The location was A1. The bed was comfortable. The property was nice looking.

The design was great! It really looks like a little village in the village. It is well design, and the room too. We had 2 balconies, with one of which with a view on the sea. The host was super helpful in guiding us around as much with restaurants, as for ticket purchasing for the boat to Agia Roumeli (for the Samaria Gorge) , she even gave us the opportunity to discover a very nice secluded beach not so far.

The property is beautiful and you can tell they take meticulous care and pay attention to every detail. Evita at the reception was so kind and gave us great advice of things to do during our stay. We had a beautiful view of the sea also. The bed and pillows were so comfortable

The hotel is a very nice small complex that looks like a cretan village, but has all modern amenities. Very nice staff and general atmosphere in the village of Chora Sfakion. We would definitely come back 😊

Every part of our stay exceeded our expectations- a beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Rooms were stylish and had everything we needed, the sea view was incredible and the beds comfortable. Staff were welcoming and so helpful, we really can’t wait to come back.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at this hotel for 4 nights. Without a doubt one of the few gems of the south and around Sfakia, this hotel was luxurious. The rooms are beautifully designed, with exposed stone, lovely oak furniture and white painted walls meaning typical Greek style with a modern twist. The bathroom was large, rainfall shower and had everything we needed, the bed comfortable and bed linen soft and silky. We slept like babies after busy days exploring the south of Crete. Our room had a nicely appointed balcony with sea views, the aircon worked really well and it was always nice going back to such an inviting and comfortable room. Lots of space for bags and clothes in the handmade wardrobes. The whole hotel looks stunning and should win some design awards if it hasn't already. If you can appreciate fine woodworking, you'll love this place! One thing to point out is the short walk and steps from the reserved parking area, not a problem though as staff are happy to help with bags. And on that note, the staff, especially Zorka, are absolutely lovely, welcoming and helpful and we already can't wait for our next stay.
