    Nice home, inexperienced owner occupying upstairs. Good price but be prepared to go up and down hills including driveway

    Owner was filling pool and watering during the hours we were returning to take showers (middle of day). This made the water pressure very low. Also owner made huge fuss about the parking (listing didn’t say anything about only one car permitted and considering can accommodate up to six people there should be spots for 2 cars at least). Owner has a driveway that is sharp and on a down and then upward slope making entering and exiting difficult. She would message via WhatsApp at 1:30am about the car situation and how she couldn’t get in and out of her garage. I had a second car for the first 3 days because of the holiday (15 August) owner made a big deal about it and I was made to park the one car on the main road. This should not be a huge deal except I have an issue with walking downhill due to an injury but was forced to do so anyway. Owner has house up for sale I believe and that may be why she was asking to show the house halfway during my stay. This was a 5 week vacation rental and I didn’t appreciate anyone coming in and out of the rental (except owner in emergency) during this time. I did refer to Booking.com customer service and they were very quick to contact owner and rectify situation. There was no cleaning during our stay however this is something that we didn’t mind at all. We had purchased cleaning products and cleaned house while there. And although there were sheets and towels we used our own so owner’s were unused. The listing stated TV with Netflix however there are no TV channels. Only a smart TV with Netflix and YouTube. There was access to Web so we had to seeks channels to watch even something as simple as news. Netflix offered on the other hand was in Hebrew, a language that is not universal and therefor we could not search anything (including where to change the settings to English). I did ask and she did come and fix one of the Netflix users to English settings but then after the first week she kept changing it back to Hebrew.

    Quiet location, ample space in common space and bedrooms. Pool was superb and entry was with steps in pool making easy entry and exit. Also only other to use pool was owner so was almost private. House was in good condition and equipped for extended rental use. We were there for 5 weeks so that was appreciated.
