The lobby is absolutely beautiful and calming right when you walk in. Upon check in, you are provided with a welcome drink which was a lovely touch (matcha dessert or coffee/croissant). Rooms are large in size and well designed, super nice to relax in after a long day. Has tatami mats (no shoes or slippers) for the bedroom area, and spacious split bathrooms with standing showers. Very clean, modern, elegant, and comfortable. Elevators are fast and modern (buttons are touchless) even with the number of guests. Basement floor has public baths, fitness room, coin laundry (5 machines, can check usage status from room tv), and refreshments (including small snacks, milk and matcha popsicles). Staff was efficient and helpful. Location was stellar - 2 min walk from Gojo Station which is one station north of Kyoto station, and had a grocery store, 2 drugstores, and a dollar store next door.

The amenities, the breakfast and the location were great! A metro station 5 minutes away and very good food options all around the area. The traditional bathroom was excellent and the guest lounge was great to have a free soda and a couple of snacks.

Upscale hotel with many unique luxuries. Fairly large rooms with en-suite comfortable bath and toilets. A nice welcome drink on arrival and a lounge with snacks, coffee machine and ice cream. Large Onsens for men and women. One of our best stays in Japan.

The bedroom were super clean and the bed very comfortable. This hotel is good value for what it cost. I would recommend it to anyone looking to not spend crazy amounts on a hotel but still wants a clean , aesthetically pleasing, good service hotel!

We really enjoyed our 2-night stay. The hotel is a 5-10 min walk from a train station and we were greeted with a welcome drink and snack (extra nice since it was raining when we arrived). Our room was a good size (2 twins pushed together, but made separately) and comfortable with a small table and chairs. The provided lounge wear was one-size only and fit me (a 5'7' American woman), but would not fit children or larger bodies. We appreciated the downstairs lounge area and spent time reading there each evening. I didn't end up using the gym because we walked so much during the day, but did use the women's onsen twice and it was very comfortable and spacious. The hotel's location is reasonable - it's close to a train station, but to go most places in Kyoto we chose to walk 20 min to the bigger line rather than transfer. We opted not to get the included breakfast and walked to 2/7 Kitchen for delicious pastries instead.
