This traditional Japanese guesthouse run by a fisherman is superb!! The hospitaliy I got and my stay were beyond description!! The host and hostess are so friendly and nice! Will come back here if I visit Yugeshima again!

Fantastic location right next to Dogo Onsen and you can borrow a soap & shampoo set for free to use in the bathhouses. The hostel itself was very clean and I liked the mini towels to dry your hands after using the bathroom! Free amenities (tea, cookies) were also really nice and I liked spending time in the common space. There were all kinds of guests - cyclists, bikers, henro pilgrims, etc., so it was an interesting atmosphere.

The location is superb and it right across the road from a a beautiful beach and a supermarket. The place looked like we were the first to stay in it it was so well presented. It's also well appointed with a great view of the beach and sunset from our window. There are two nearby restaurants one of which the hosts booked us into for a fantastic meal. The hosts couldn't do enough for us when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed.

Great place in a quiet town. Would need to take a bus or train from Uwajima. Schedule is not regular but easy enough to navigate. Space is large and very well thought out with sleeping room, hang out lounge and nice kitchen with table and chairs. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Great place to base for walks in area. Huge bonus was Izakaya down the street. Super refined and tasty. We enjoyed our stay.

OMISHIMA SPACE Omoya has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Imabari, 30 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine. Very calm, clean, fancy and nice place. Everything is well thought! Ideal for a night of rest on the bike path from Onomichi to Imabari.

Set in Imabari, 37 km from Saikokuji Temple and 37 km from Senkoji Temple, Guesthouse Farmor - Vacation STAY 15083v offers air conditioning. This host knows what her guests would enjoy in the area and offers helpful supports. She organised lifts to a nearby hot springs and booked the best Japanese restaurant in the area for dinner. We had a very comfortable stay and would love to go back to Omishima island again.

Situated 38 km from Henjou-in Temple, Guesthouse Yadokari - Vacation STAY 90101 features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. It is in a very quiet location. There is a small beach just behind the house. Outside the house can park 2-3 cars. There are 3 rooms of reasonable size. 2 rooms are with 2 double decker beds. 1 room with 2 single beds, and this room is joined to the sitting area. The kitchen and dining area is certainly the most interesting area. The kitchen has all the facilities for light cooking, and the large dining table can easily seat 10. The is a washing machine and dryer, and wifi is good and strong. The place is quite remote, so it is suitable for those travelling by own vehicle, car, bicycle or motorbike. The hosts are very hospitable and very helpful with local places to visit. They met us on arrival. Check-out was also free of hassle.

Featuring a spa bath, あかがね荘 is located in Sumino. This guest house offers free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. The guest house also offers facilities for disabled guests. Outstanding property with all the amenities you could want for a family retreat. With optional Karaoke, Large Outdoor Bath, and Yakiniku (BBQ), we spent more time at the house then we did away from it. The house is nestled in a private bamboo forest with multiple outdoor hammocks and one indoor hammock to enjoy. The building itself appears to be very new and was very clean. We had a toddler in our party and were provided with a diaper pail as well as baby shower supplies. We requested the optional outdoor bath, for each night of our stay, and there was a bucket of rubber duckies that filled the large bath much to our toddler's delight. There were also board games and coloring supplies available to entertain our children. The property owners even provided home made mochi and shaved ice! All in all this was the highlight of our trip around Japan and a memory my children will never forget. 10/10 would recommend this property to families or couples looking for a private getaway.
