The Aurora Igloos were so awesome and unique! We liked looking at the sky while lying in bed. We had 3 heaters and they kept us warm. As a family of 4, we had to get 2 igloos. Coffee machine in the shared bathroom was very good!

Convenient location - close to the “abandoned Viking village” film set, black sand beach, picturesque mountains, and the coast with a lighthouse and seals. When you stay here, they provide you with a QR code to enter these places for free. Clean room that was pretty big compared to others during our trip. Good breakfast. Small gift shop area in the cafe. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely stay at The Blackhouse. Self check-in allowed us to arrive later than usual and have a seamless experience. Like others have mentioned, the lack of a stove with pots and pans was a bummer, but the estate more than made up for it with the luxurious space and cleanliness afforded to us from the get go. Would definitely come to stay again :)

The rooms are standalone villas of a sort with all the basic amenities. The location was excellent, just at the base of Eyjafallajokul, visible from the bedroom window. All rooms have a living area with great views of the field and the ring road, an inner cosy bedroom, an attached washroom, basic cooking utensils and appliances. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were required to contact the host via WhatsApp to receive a code. This code was to be used to open a key box that had the room keys.

The beachfront hotel was clean and everything was very nice. The sea view through the window was so wonderful, and it's less than 10-minutes drive to vik village, so you can buy somthing and eat in the hotel if you need it. I highly recommend it and would like to come back.

Loved the location and the charm of the villas. It was clean and gad what we needed. We only spent one night, but would come back again and spend more time. We got to see the northern lights - not the best version of them, but at least we did see them.
