We had a fantastic time at Villa Mara - it is a beautiful house with excellent facilities and the photos don’t do it justice. The hosts went out of their way to make us feel at home, with lots of help and recommendations. It is beautifully decorated inside and outside, and the pool is an added bonus. The villa is in a little village in the hills above Korcula town, and hence away from the hustle and bustle, and quiet and peaceful as a result. We didn’t have transport but taxis are easy to come by and inexpensive. There is a small supermarket and an excellent restaurant that are each just a 1 minute walk away.

Though the host was absent, we had prior communication, and he ensured we had everything we required. The house was impeccably clean, and the kitchen was well-equipped, including a set of excellent knives, which was a pleasant surprise compared to other places we've rented before. The beach is really near and while it's nothing spectacular about it, I appreciated that it was not crowded.

Nearest shop is ca. 3km away in Prigradica (open till 21h every day), very nice walk around the coastline.

Wonderful hosts even left quite some food supplies for us. We had a wonderful stay and will recommend Sunny to anyone who'd like to discover island of Korčula.
