The location was very peaceful and the forest was beautiful. The Bali design was lovely, quirky and colourful. Gated accommodation, so felt secure being in a forest. Spacious living room/ kitchen area. Lovely hot waterfall shower, really really enjoyed that. Nice to have a washing machine and dishwasher on holiday to pack less and no washing up 🙂. T.V was good to use of an evening for a chill time.

The bed was beyond comfortable, and the place was spacious. There was a supermarket near the hotel. The hotel was close to Zaandam station. You exit the station to the right and go down in the lift then turn right at the bottom. It was a bit difficult to find the first time but easy when you know the way.

Perfect for a stay with the dog with great restaurants nearby. Highly recommend ‘De Hoop op d'Swarte Walvis’ just 2 doors down & also across the bridge ‘Wolfsend’ which is dog-friendly. Amsterdam city centre just 15 mins away by train from village station. Waking up to views of the early morning mist amongst the windmills was amazing. We can’t wait to return.

The room was good enough and the breakfast was great. The owner helped us as quickly as she could when we needed help. The train station is just 10-15 mins walk from there so you can go anywhere you want. And around the village there are a lot of sweet little shops and souvenirs. It was a nice stay.
