Irene’s is a renovated, traditional house located in the centre of the village of Olympos, in Karpathos. It offers fully equipped accommodation decorated in the typical style of the island.
The house of Irene is split in 2 levels. The ground floor features traditional beds called ‘soufas’ and a fireplace. On the upper floor, there is a balcony and kitchen equipped with an oven, microwave and coffee maker. A dining and a living area are also available.

The location was great, and very easy to pick up the key from the taverna right across the walkway from it. The food was even good at that same taverna. We were just staying one night and found it very convenient and well priced

the house was incredible! the view on the veranda and on the balcony is amazing! a house that combines the traditional with the comforts of the modern! very clean and comfortable!!! I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in a holiday in Olympus! the location is very good, in the center of the village! our communication with the host is perfect! if we go to Olympus again we would like to go to the same house!

Before describing Nisos Villa, it is helpful to first describe the village of Olympos. It is a small village that only in recent times had a direct road connecting it to Pigadia. One parks the car at the edge of the village from which one can easily access anywhere in the village with a 10 minute walk. Walking through the village includes cobblestones and steps. I mention all this as I noticed at least one prior review complained about having to carry his/her suitcase through the town. That having all been said, Nisos Villa is the perfect place to stay in Olympos. It is essentially at the end of the town, which makes it quieter and fewer daytime tourists walking by our villa. Katarina, the owner, has taken her grandmother’s house, and converted most of it into two villas. Our villa was charming. Our bed was accessed by a ladder up to a platform overlooking the main floor. The bathroom was a nice size and the shower had a stone wall on one side which added to its ambience. The kitchen had everything we needed. There is a small porch in the entranceway with a table where we could sit and view the sea and the school (with 7 students) below us. We woke up to the sounds of goats bleating. Katarina does not live in Olympos, but stays in touch with you via email or telephone. If you are going to stay in Olympos, we highly recommend Nisos Villa.

Very good location, 2' minutes on foot from the central square of the village, but without the noise of the centre! The villa feels like a home as it has all necessary facilities for staying in and relaxing. (It has a very well equipped kitchen and a spacious bathroom). The balcony gives amazing views of the mountain and the sea; also, it oversees the church of Christ, which features a magnificent sunset and is very instagramable!

Is fully equipped with all the amenities and internet works. The location is relatively near the entrance of the village/car parking so you don't need to carry your luggage for long. Also Irene the owner is very willing to give any kind of information about the island and answer all short of questions you might have.

The villa is big, spaceous, very clean and the view from the balcony and the terrace is one of the best I have ever seen! The host is amazingly friendly and it’s a pleasure to stay and chat with her, trully makes you feel welcome as a guest. One other very big advantage for Olympos is that you can reach the villas by car (although thr road is not the best but doable with a small car), it has a private parking, so you do not have to carry the luggage through the village alleys. The villas are very roomy and clean, and can EASILY accomodate 4 people (even 5). There are two bathrooms, one for each floor.
