The 'Castle Gogar Cottage' is attached to Gogar Castle - and the hosts' home - and is located at the end of a picturesque driveway just off the main Glasgow Road, Edinburgh. As such it is a short drive to a host of local attractions, quality restaurants, bars, golf courses and sports venues. Despite having Edinburgh Airport as our immediate neighbour we were never disturbed by any of the aircraft operations. The quality of The Cottage's furnishings is exceptionally high and the presentation was of the highest standard. The Cottage is superbly well appointed with quality fitments, bedlinen, towelling and the like. The bedroom suites, bathroom and lounge are all wonderfully comfortable, well heated and delightfully cosy. The kitchen was very spacious and, again, extremely well appointed. Our host, Donna, welcomed us on arrival and quickly explained the layout and the attractions of the property. Donna was warm, engaging and considerate and her attention to the guests’ needs is flawless. Communications were speedy and helpful. The rain deterred us from using the outdoor patio but The Cottage's indoor facilities more than compensated for the dreary weather. We look forward to making a return visit as soon as we can and would highly recommend 'Castle Gogar Cottage' to all discerning visitors to Edinburgh.

Posizione comoda da raggiungere dall’aeroporto con il tram fermata Haymarket, lontana circa mezz’ora a piedi da old town ma servitissima dai mezzi pubblici.

Jennifer è stata una padrona di casa gentilissima, molto disponibile alle varie richieste/curiosità, presente ma mai invadente. La posizione è adiacente al centro, con una passeggiata di 20 minuti circa si raggiunge la old Town, vicinissimo invece il caratteristico Dean Village. Ben servito anche da autobus. L'alloggio è ben fornito di tutto il necessario.
