Very cosy funxtionable space. The hot tub was lovely and warm even in sub 0c temperatures. The woodburner is excellent and keeps the lodge nice and warm. Wonderful layout and design, everything you need.

I always go to Skye for my birthday for a few days and had never been to the Elgol part of the island. I know the island and the climate quite well so was expecting pretty much anything and everything. I booked this because of the view and it absolutely did not disappoint! The day of my birthday was gloriously sunny and I sat with a lovely glass of chilled champagne, looking at that view in the afternoon. It is absolutely idyllic and even the word perfect isn't good enough. The bed was so comfortable I slept a FULL 8 hours uninterrupted and then had coffee in bed with that view too. The shower was fabulous and the towels were spot on. The little toilet with the ever-so-cute wash hand basin was like stepping into a little bit of Hobbiton haha. So quirky and wonderful. Dishwasher was handy on the last day when you are rushing to check out The day after my birthday was quite stormy so lighting the fire and enjoying the rest of my champagne in the cosy atmospheric cabin was just absolutely perfect. Sunshine or storm I couldn't fault any part of it. The finishing bit of "polish" on the whole thing was the little hip flask of whisky which I suspect was Talisker (which I happen to love) that was there on arrival was the cherry on top of the cake so to speak. This place hasn't been open that long for bookings relatively speaking but it is already booked up for most of the year and you can absolutely see why. So I found a slot in the summer where there's the obvious more daylight hours and sunsets and booked again it was so good. It really is that lovely!!!

Located in the village of Abriachan, just 12 miles from Inverness, Camping Pod Heaven offers camping accommodation with a unique twist. On-site, there is free WiFi access and free parking. Guests can go on boat trips on the famous Loch Ness, just a short 5-minute drive away. With a distinctive shape, each of the camping pods feature a mountain view from the room, heating and a private entrance. They also benefit from a shared bathroom. The special roofing material cuts down the noise of heavy rain, whilst the windows and lockable door have double glazing to reduce condensation and provide sound insulation. Urquhart Castle is 11 miles from the property. Eden Court Theatre and Inverness Castle are both just 25 minutes' drive away. The famed Culloden Battlefield is 18 miles away. Amazing location, we felt like we were in an American camp site! The cabin pods were surprisingly spacious (for 2 of us) and very cosy in the evening. It was nice to sit outside the pod and have a bbq and a few drinks. The staff were lovely and very accommodating, if you needed any help and she wasn’t on site, you could call her and she would be there within a few minutes. Loved it!
