Everything, starting from the friendly atmosphere of a family run hotel with many facilities and activities for the guests. We lived in a wonderful apartment: clean, well furnished, ample and comfortable. We did not use the kitchen facilities that were available and exploited instead the very attractive and satisfactory meal options provided by the structure itself. In a word, we have been coddled for the whole length of our stay. Should we come back to lake Toba (which we hope) this will be the first address to look for.

Manager Mr. Jae organized a car with a driver for me to see Samosir Island. Driver Mr. Rambo was also a very good driver and a guide. He was extremely cooperative. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

Facing the beachfront, Agape Hotel Haranggaol offers 3-star accommodation in Haranggaul and has an outdoor swimming pool, shared lounge and restaurant. Very comfortable, especially after the long and tenuous night drive to get there. It feels like an "end of the road" location down tight, bendy mountain roads. So that makes it all the better when you arrive and find how nice the place is. Room had a fridge which was very helpful as we were travelling with food. Room was very nice and comfortable. This is clearly a notch up from many budget hotels. The pool was great for the kids and no one was brave enough to try the slide into the lake.
