My room, access to pool and river, wonderful staff, amazing activities, food, everything! I also loved the quiet and the serenity of the place... Its a hidden gem and I hope to visit this place anytime I make a visit to Kanchanaburi.

Royal Resort and Spa is a beautiful hotel located along the banks of River Kwai. It features spacious accommodation with private balconies and the luxury of an outdoor pool. The pool is absolutely stunning! We had a magical time here, our room was quite, clean and super comfortable. The dinning area for dinner service down by the river was wonderful, the staff super attentive. Food was delicious for all meals. We enjoyed the massive spread for buffet breakfast and the helpful staff when planning day trips. The Spa was wonderful, I had a couple of really great massages, friendly staff and a clean comfortable environment. That pool though - if it wasn't so hot when we were there (April) I could have spent days hanging out there.

Its a huge resort, seems to be an iconic resort of its time but now looks not many tourist are there.

We stayed here for a many times, by daytime there are usually only a few people, but in the evening a lot of groups come for 1 night stay.

The room, service, food and location were all perfect. The staff were professional and we were also impressed with their nature friendly and sustainable practices. We were able to learn how to compost and got to see happy elephants.
