Situated in Lamego and with Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary reachable within 1.5 km, Douro Castelo Signature Hotel & Spa features concierge services, allergy-free rooms, a terrace, free WiFi throughout... Room facilities were great. it was difficult to locate the entrance of the hotel on the narrow pass . Breakfast was excellent and tasty. Bed was comfortable. Also late opening of the indoor pool.

Octant Douro located in Vista Alegre, Castelo de Paiva. Offering a stunning infinity pool the hotel overlooks the Douro River blending itself with the surrounding nature. Excellent, very generous breakfast, mix of local, continental and health focused cuisine . Michelin level restaurant did not disappoint and was quite frankly a great value. Regular bar also a great option. Wine selection excellent. Location very private, guarantees total disconnect from the world , if you want that. Great hiking trails. Excellent spa.

With its own orchard and vineyard, this 4-star hotel is situated 800 metres from Lamego’s centre. Guests at the Lamego can also savour the local cuisine for lunch and dinner. Everything. It was just the perfect place. We loved our stay and were really happy with the inclusion of vegetarian food in the menu.

Boasting garden views, Casas de Campo da Barroca features accommodation with patio, around 46 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary. Everything was perfect: the house is very spacious, nicely decorated with everything you need. The beds are very big and comfortable. The view from the rooms is amazing. The pool is small, but tor us, being almost all the time alone there, was more than enough. The staff was very nice and helpful, always smiling and present. The breakfast was delicious, various freshly made home made cakes being available, with fresh orange juice and croissants. We will surely be back, thank you for your treat!

In a natural, peaceful and exclusive setting, let yourself be immersed in a unique, modern and charming world that blends with the traditions of yesteryear at the Lavandeira Douro Nature & Wellness... We lived in the authentic house/villa which was outstanding. Near the villa, there were many historical cars – old Porsches, Rolls Royce, Mercedes Benz and others. We enjoyed the pool near the main building of vineyard with comfy sunbeds. The nearby little towns gave us very pleasant food experiences. Just ask the reception of the recommendations.

Quinta dos Padres Santos provides elegant rooms and accommodations in refurbished old watermills in Eira Queimada, Tarouca, 11 km from Lamego. The best stay ever. A gem. Nino is a welcoming host. Warm sweet and helpful . The place is done in good taste and has everything u need and beyond.

Situated in Barcel, Longra Family Villa & SPA offers a balcony with pool and river views, as well as a seasonal outdoor pool, sauna and hot tub. With garden views, this accommodation features a patio.... The house bedrooms were perfect. Beds really comfortable with decent bedding. The downstairs layout works really well, with very comfortable sofa and seating area. The pool area ideal, plenty of chairs to suit everyone for shade and sun. We loved using the kayak.
