Room facilities were great. it was difficult to locate the entrance of the hotel on the narrow pass . Breakfast was excellent and tasty. Bed was comfortable. Also late opening of the indoor pool.

It is 10 km from the centre of Castelo de Paiva, 40 km from Porto, 60 km from Porto International Airport and 160 km from the Spanish border. Excellent, very generous breakfast, mix of local, continental and health focused cuisine . Michelin level restaurant did not disappoint and was quite frankly a great value. Regular bar also a great option. Wine selection excellent. Location very private, guarantees total disconnect from the world , if you want that. Great hiking trails. Excellent spa.

Everything was perfect: the house is very spacious, nicely decorated with everything you need. The beds are very big and comfortable. The view from the rooms is amazing. The pool is small, but tor us, being almost all the time alone there, was more than enough. The staff was very nice and helpful, always smiling and present. The breakfast was delicious, various freshly made home made cakes being available, with fresh orange juice and croissants. We will surely be back, thank you for your treat!

We lived in the authentic house/villa which was outstanding. Near the villa, there were many historical cars – old Porsches, Rolls Royce, Mercedes Benz and others. We enjoyed the pool near the main building of vineyard with comfy sunbeds. The nearby little towns gave us very pleasant food experiences. Just ask the reception of the recommendations.

The pool area ideal, plenty of chairs to suit everyone for shade and sun. We loved using the kayak.
