The location was perfect! Close to all the restaurants, shops and the hub of Cascais. However, behind the fort walls, it was super peaceful and quiet. We got a great sleep. Bonus: the beds were super comfortable. The staff was amazing! Super friendly and accomodating.

Former residence of the exiled Italian kings, Grande Real Villa Itália Hotel & Spa faces the Atlantic Ocean in Cascais. It features a thalasso spa with face and body treatments, a well-equipped gym and nearby golf courses.

Everything! Lovely helpful staff, amazing rooms, beds and bed linen which were so comfortable. The breakfast was simply amazing with such attentive staff. We used the Spa which was delightful. We will effeminately make this hotel our destination of choice, rather than the Farol or the Albatross - we enjoyed this hotel so much!

Location, location, location….. in the middle of town but the fort provided relaxing privacy likened to royalty within their castle walls. Such an experience staying in such an historical building! The breakfast was outstanding and the staff…….. everyone we met and we stayed for 5 nights……. were just so super helpful. Outdoor and indoor pools amazing and the views across the town or the Marina and out to sea from one of the many outdoor seating areas was spectacular. Excellent holiday.

Decent sized room. Having a private balcony was amazing. External shutters ensured the room stayed dark. Lots of storage space. Bread and cereal left in the kitchen all day - we bought extra ingredients like yoghurt and fruit to bulk out for breakfast. Very close to Paula Rego museum.

The space, the rooms are very spacious and airy with nice sea views, very relaxed atmosphere. The staff were excellent, they took initiative to make sure we felt at home, as we were travelling with our pet and they ensured we were able to have our dog with us during breakfast outside.

The room is spacious, and the view is amazing. The breakfast was very good and the staff are polite, welcoming, and attending. The facilities are well-kept. The hotel does not have a private beach but is within walking distance of several public beaches. The location is very calm, and relaxing and is very close to the Sintra area. You can either take an Uber(or a taxi) or a train to Lisbon. The train station is like 5 minutes away. I really enjoyed my stay there!

Rooms are very nice, private and spacious. Breakfast is also good and the honesty bar is a nice touch. Location was great, right across from the beach and really close to the main town. Also close to the train station. Staff were very friendly and helpful for the duration of my stay. I was upgraded to a deluxe room for free upon checkin. I got a facial in the spa which was very relaxing. Breakfast was excellent, lots of variety and was able to eat out on the terrace. I didn’t use the restaurant but did use room service on one occasion and the food was delicious.
