The weather was bad and we were on a mission to Minot ND. for business! It was a just going to be a short trip to begin with. I loved the accommodations and the breakfast was delicious! So thankful we could get a room! We didn't get to see much! We did get food at Arby's it was good!

Not many eateries near the lodgings.

Not many eateries near the lodgings. I heard that if you were visiting ND as your 50th state, the visitors bureau had special items for you. Close proximity to Theodore Roosevelt NP. A nice park with beautiful scenery and lots of hiking trails.

7 or 8 years ago, they struck oil, so the Hawthorn Suites and surrounding stores, and a brand new shopping center, which is almost completed, etc. was built on open land. Therefore everything is new and nice.

Dickenson is a big-small town that has everything you need.

Dickenson is a big-small town that has everything you need. Many different restaurants to choose from, shopping for everyone in the family. There are recreation sites, museums that feature the history of the town and prehistoric history as well. Something for everyone when you come to Dickenson. Not far from the Badlands of North Dakota where you can spend the day and come back to relax in the evening.

The gentleman who worked the desk was especially friendly and courteous. When we could not get the tv to work or needed the refrigerator to be a bit cooler, he came up immediately and corrected the issues. Our room was clean, close to the stairs. There was an elevator. We were not there long enough to really take advantage of other amenities, but we would definitely choose to stay at the Heritage Hotel again. (The outside waterfall was a beautiful surprise to view.) I also appreciated the reasonable price of the room.

Our room was nicely decorated, new and comfortable. I appreciated that the room seemed to have a well sealed door (which msny hotels do not have) and even though we were quite close to the lobby and breakfast room it seemed nice and quiet. The staff was friendly and the complimentary breakfast offered a nice variety. We arrived late so didn't have a chance to check out the pool, exercise room, etc. so I can't comment on those facilities.

We arrived around midnight exhausted from the drive from Chicago and the front desk knew us by name before we even got to reception. It felt like home for a night. Breakfast was served start very early so we were even able to get a great cup of coffee before our 5:30am departure. Absolutely exceptional employees, the rooms were wonderful, and the hotel was so beyond my expectations. Thanks for a great stay!

The suite I booked was fantastic—same cost as a regular hotel room locally but included a full kitchenette (including a dishwasher). It was more like an upscale efficiency apartment. Full-size refrigerator, etc. Clearly this is a place where people book for long-term stays (probably associated w/the oil industry). There's a big pool and it's close to the museum center, shopping, etc.

Tammy did an amazing job of trying to put us in the room we booked. Customer satisfaction was her top priority. Being a new employee, she wasn’t fully familiar with the hotel yet. She did her best to make us happy. Kudos Tammy! Breakfast was good. A lot of variety. The hot foods were hot. The beds are super comfortable.

Room was quiet, bed was comfortable. Heating/cooling system was noisy. Cleanliness was a major issue, as the hotel is VERY understaffed [and did not have a cordless stick vacuum that I could use on the stairs and hallway]. "Josh" was very responsive to our concerns, but the poor guy needs to be working a LOT less than he is.
