Great location, just above the town; it's a short walk to town and to the viewing point of the cliffs as well. Views from the hotel are exceptional. They gave us adjoining rooms for my family that was very convenient - both rooms had large windows with seating, perfect for watching the coastline. Staff is very helpful and courteous. The hotel restaurant was excellent. 5 star hotel feels; should be re-evaluated because deserves are higher rating!

Étretat is one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen.

Étretat is one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen. The cliffs, I mean. And Jardins d’Etretat. Don’t miss Jardins. The town, however, is super touristy. There are no good restaurants. I’d say sleep somewhere else and visit Étretat for a day.

Etretat is a lovely, relaxing little seaside resort.

Etretat is a lovely, relaxing little seaside resort. Not much to do in town except relax and eat at one of the excellent little restaurants. Good place to explore local towns like Dieppe or Fecamp. Good walks and views up on the cliffs.

Beautiful seaside town, was a bit overcrowded when we went...

Beautiful seaside town, was a bit overcrowded when we went and city center was closed to cars which meant everyone was pouring over to outside carparks which were overflowing. Best to avoid July/August time. Lots of restaurants but there could be a queue to get in due to overcrowding. There are lots of fish restaurants, nice places for icecream, lots of very sweet and unusal shops.

Staff at both the hotel and a highly rated pizza restaurant...

Staff at both the hotel and a highly rated pizza restaurant were rude and complacent. Everywhere else along the north coast of France was quite the opposite, and so I wonder if this is an issue with the people working in Etretat. I found the town to be very disappointing and was glad to leave.

Fantastic walks along the cliffs and the beach.

Fantastic walks along the cliffs and the beach. Stunning views on each direction. The gardens are interesting with sculptures augmenting the features of the gardening. Etretat Town gets very busy with coach trips and is quite expensive.

Etretat is a very scenic place.

Etretat is a very scenic place. We visited in February so it didn't have a lot of tourists but a lot of places were closed, The cliffs are a must see and the walk up there is worth it. Walking around is made easy by the fact that the city center is not accessible to cars but parking can and will get expensive the closer you are to the city center (1€ for 30 min in the red zone). I would advise to come by train as much as possible or find a parking spot outside of the city if you're ok with walking.

My wife got in the room first. When I brought the luggage in the room, she told me there is no toilet in the room! I checked the hallway and there was none there either. Went downstairs to the reception and asked her how come there is no toilet in the room. She said, with a huge smile: “you need to be a better detective”. We did do a better detective job and found another room with a secret entrance. Hotel is filled with so much antique detective furniture, pictures, books, etc. The game room/library downstairs is amazing.

Everything about our stay exceeding our expectations! This is such a hidden gem, Sandrine was there to welcome us and was very responsive throughout our stay. As soon as you open the door, the town is a couple steps away. Our space was so special and authentic. It felt safe and quiet - this was a very raw experience in the town of Étretat that I will never forget. We feel so thankful it was available for our one night stay!

it was an amazing experience. Jean welcomed us and was very friendly and knowledgeable about etretat; where to eat, the best routes, the best places to see. the house, though old, 1820 ish was very authentic. the bedroom and facilities were up to date and impeccable and the breakfast made us feel like we were eating 1800ish breakfast in the manor. we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I checked in this hotel and I stayed for two nights. In first night bed bugs attacked me and my friend but we weren't sure it was them. We ask to change the bed sheet but the hotel told no as it was changed just yesterday. In evening suddenly I started getting reaction on my whole body. When we get back to hotel there was no one in hotel reception to help us.

This is THE place to be when you visit Etretat. Right on the water with excellent view of both arches of rocks on either end of the bay. Very comfortable room with bathtub and sea view with a balcony. Fenomenal service, especially from Sandrine. The adjacent restaurant is really part of the hotel and offers spectacular food. We went both days for dinner.

It is a huuuge advantage to have private parking in Etretat, not far off from the town center - totally recommended just for that feature. The host was very attentive. He explained everything in a detailed manner. We also liked the garden a lot and the vibes overall. The kitchen was quite practical.

The hotel is literally 5 minutes from the sea and from some of the rooms, you can even see the sea from the window. The room was clean and spacious enough for 2 people and a cat. The bathroom was really nice especially in comparison to the size of the bedroom itself so this was a big plus for us.

It actually is the house of Offenbach! Great experience! The owner (Jean Baptiste) was a great host. He is renovating the old house and has a few rooms to offer. Rather than a hotel, it’s a guesthouse, but the room was better than a hotel. Very spacious, great bathroom and very clean.
