Just 5 minutes from the archaeological site, this hotel takes its name from the ruins of an ancient Pompeian villa located on the same street.

The hotel was within walking distance of the railway station and busstop, plus only a few hundred metres from the entrance of the Pompei ruins. The bus took us to the entrance of the Vesuvius, ideal for our destination, the walk to the top. (no toilets there, so go at the station/bus stop)
Located next to the Pompei Santuario Station, Hotel Palma is just a short stroll away from Pompeii’s ancient ruins. Enjoy views of Mount Vesuvius from its panoramic terrace.

The location was great, 15 mins walk to the Ruins and the centre. Parking on site is a real bonus. The host was really welcoming and friendly, even though her English and our Italian wasn’t great, we managed fine.
The room was basic, but had all you needed for a short stay. Breakfast was continental as expected and it was sufficient.
Whilst this little unassuming hotel doesn’t look much from the outside, you’ll find the rooms clean and sufficient for a short stay, the staff friendly and helpful, so give it a try if your in Pompei, as it really is in a great location for the price.
Located 3 km from the Pompeii ruins, the Costa is a new hotel in a residential neighbourhood. It offers free Wi-Fi, free parking, and air-conditioned rooms with elegant, modern furnishings.

Location in Pompeii was great, hotel was exceptionally clean, staff were friendly and helpful all the time and the rooftop bar is a really nice place to sit and relax.

Located next to the Pompei Santuario Station, Hotel Palma is just a short stroll away from Pompeii’s ancient ruins. Enjoy views of Mount Vesuvius from its panoramic terrace.
Great location and good facilities, just what we needed
The Apollo is the only hotel located in the privileged Bartolo Longo Square, located in the heart of Pompeii only a few steps from the main archaeological site. All rooms have a balcony.
Real great location and a nice room with a balcony
The ruins are incredible and vast. There aren't many places to get food/toilet so plan for this accordingly. It was absolutely heaving when we went (a random week day in May) and this did impact the experience.
There's a lovely place to get ice cream just a short walk from the entrance to the ruins and a really beautiful church down the road.
We found the people to be somewhat surly (and that's with an Italian speaking member of our group).

Very good place to stay and get trips around - old Pompei town, Pompei main street, Vesuvius mountain, and other nearby places like - Naples, Sorrento and others which can be reached easily by the train.
The town is very well maintained and it is very clean, bearing in mind the amount of tourists it gets.

Obviously the ruins (Scavi) are the main draw, but the town is very pretty. The Catholic Basilica does not have the size of the major basilicas in Rome, but it is just as beautiful. You do not have to stay here in order to see the ruins, but it does make it a less hectic experience. The ruins are free on the first Sunday of every month and on certain holidays. We went for free on Liberation Day (25 Apr).

Definitely a great place to stay to see the nearby...
Definitely a great place to stay to see the nearby attractions but, despite having three train stations, the transport links are not great. We were based here for a week and found the public transport frustrating. Last minute platform changes for trains only announced in Italian and giving insufficient time to change to the right platform. Buses leaving up to ten minutes early or not stopping. There is a Flixbus to Sorrento but it only gives three and a bit hours on a day trip from Pompei. To visit Capri we had to have a night in Sorrento which was an unexpected extra expense. On a final note if you eat gluten free the choice is fantastic. It is understood and catered for!

Pompeii is a lovely and cozy and absolutely beautiful town!
Pompeii is a lovely and cozy and absolutely beautiful town!
As a solo female traveler I always felt very safe, and I was able to fully enjoy and explore both the city, and the sights like the ruins and mount vesuvius.
Note that there aren’t any Ubers or any easy way to get a taxi if you’re staying a little outside the main city core (I stayed at a 30 minute walk away from the Main Street), but it’s very walkable and there’s pavement all around, and some busses if you can figure them out but I generally just walked everywhere :)
There’s also areas for parking if you’re bringing/renting a car or even for campers and RV’s right next to the city centre (abt 3-5min walk from the Main Street).
The Pompeii ruins are a must visit and I recommend going with a guide that’s also an archeologist, I found several tours including the one I took that also went to Herculaneum via GetYourGuide. There I also found the “tour” (just a shuttle bus really) that went to the highest entrance of Mount Vesuvius (leaving a 20min/1km hike to the top of the crater) which was also very cool and I definitely recommend going there too while you’re in Pompeii!

One of the outstanding sites of it's type in the world and one you are aware of since a child but only when you come here can you appreciate the scale and amazing survival off the ruins for all of us to see and cultural asset
It is also very good value for money
Such an amazing hotel and oasis in the city of Pompei. Exceptional service from Rosaria and the team. Restaurant on site for breakfast and dinner with locally grown produce used. The pool was a god send with the hot weather along with the air-conditioning in each room. Family rooms were also a bonus. The kids also enjoyed the hobby farm animals, soccer ground, tramp and playground. . Close to Pompeii site and they can organise well priced transfers from the Pomepii and Naples. Highly recommend this family run hotel.
We had very warm welcoming, even when we were too late. The hosts are very pleasant and helpful people.
The apartment looks better than the pictures in Booking, on a very quiet street, far from the tourist area.
Everything was very comfortable-with all that one can need-for us it was 5 star experience. We are very grateful to our hosts and would like to return in Pompei. Just perfect location- nearby center, archeological park and train station. If you plan to stay in Pompei we highly recommend Domus 47 .
Everything. The host was so kind and helpful. The hotel and room were clean beautiful and very well kept. The hotel was a short walk to the train station, market area and Pompei entrance. The buffet was so delicious and plentiful. marinated veggies, meats, cheeses and bread. Eggs or omelets possible too. The best was the rooftop deck with hot tub. You reserve it so it’s private. It includes a bottle of Prosecco. Our skin was so soft after that. The view was nice. I could not recommend this more!!!! perfecto!
Dario was an excellent host - he provided all the info necessary to make our stay perfect. We appreciated the room and its equipment (everything functional and clean), covered parking place for our scooter, fresh pastries (and good coffee) for our breakfasts, and many more! We definitely recommend this place as it have been our best accomodation we ever stay in Italy.
We also liked the roof terrace with magnificent views and proximity (4-5 minutes on scooter) to the center of Pompei.
Marina was an amazing host who made us feel very welcomed and gave us the best private tour of Pompeii. She is warm, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. She really brought the ruins to life with her descriptions and I could not recommend her enough. We have been on a lot of tours and this far surpassed any tour guide we have had before. 10 / 10
The accommodation is centrally located near the ruins and lots of restaurants. We had 3 adults stay and were comfortable.
Absolutely everything. This has to be one of our most beloved experiences and stays. The staff, the facilities, the pool (omg), the little farm, the restaurant (just wow)…it’s hard to explain but just know, if you are looking for a special experience - come here. It’s outstanding. Its perfect. We have been in Italy for 6 weeks and this has been our best stay yet. It’s beautiful, clean and comfortable - elevated without being “stuffy” and excellent for our family.
The Hotel Palma is really great placed in the city of Pompeii. There is close to Pompeii ruins, restaurants and train station as well. We've gotten great support from personnel of Hotel Palma and we have to express our appritiate to Catello. We arrived to early because of our flight so it was possible to leave the lagguaage in hotel deposit and start sightsing in comfortable way. Another 2 reasons : jacuzzi on the roof and great brekfast!
We had a large beautiful room & bath. This is best location in Pompei to visit the ruins and enjoy the restaurants and town. Dino is an amazing host ready to help you with whatever information or travel needs. Great breakfast every morning . He help us with our luggages and even help me park my car. PERFECTO!!!!👍👍👍💕 I am recommending the Pompeii Ruins De Charme B&B to my family & friends.
I know we will return here again!
Dino was a great host and we appreciated the additional services. He drove us from Naples airport then at end of our visit to Minori. He provided good advice about local trains (our fault we kept getting lost). We enjoyed listening to Dino’s stories about life in the south of Italy. Had a fabulous seafood meal at Dino’s friend’s place nearby. Thank you Dino for making our stay in Pompeii so enjoyable. Hoping you can rest a bit.?
I’ve travelled for years and I must say, the host Pasquale and his staff are just amazing. Super Friendly, super helpful, treated us like family. Above and beyond my expectations. I can not say enough how impressed I was by Pasquale. I would recommend this place to anyone. I will go out of my way on my next trip yo Italy just to visit Villa Julia and Pasquale. If you read this review, thank you again Pasquale
This hotel was wonderful! The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. Any needs that we had were quick to be addressed. The rooms and hotel itself was very clean. It was also within walking distance of the Pompeii city ruins and the city center as well. The complimentary breakfast was also wonderful.
For visiting the ruins of Pompeii you could not get a better location, and it comes with secure parking at no additional charge. Very large clean apartment, with good restaurants nearby. We highly recommend this apartment and will definitely stay here again when back in Italy next summer.
The staff were amazing, so helpful. Excellent breakfast. Great location for Pompeii archeological site. We had booked a guide to take us around Pompeii archeological site and we had to meet them at an entrance 1 km away but Hotel Forum is almost opposite the amphitheater entrance.
The best location, fast Wi-Fi and free parking in Pompei. The decoration is a bit dated but very clean and comfortable. The hotel is in the centre and just opposite the ruins, surrounded by cafe’, shops and restaurants that you can walk within minutes.
Todisco is a 5 minute walk to the ruins of Pompei. The restaurant has delicious pizza and pasta and a fantastic breakfast from meats to cheeses to bread and sweet rolls. The best feature of Todisco is the kindness of host Caterine and her daughter.
It is beautiful here. Everyone was super nice and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Loved the poolside bar to get a snack and a drink. I cant say enough about this place. Best place we have stayed so far in Italy!
The best stay on our trip through Italy and a great start before embarking to Amalfi. Lovely host, great location and parking space for free - everything in walking distance
Cannot recommend enough
The breakfast was the best of all the hotel I stayed during my Italy trip! Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Room is nice and clean. Very good location.
