Located 20 km from Alnwick Castle, Dene House Farm provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

My stay at Dene House was perfect for a wedding i was attending in the village. It was clean, cosy and welcoming and like a little countryside haven. I had amazing views from my room, big comfy bed, spotless bathroom and great touches like snacks and bottled water. Patricia was a wonderful host and was so friendly and lovely and helpful. The pilates studio next door is awesome and a nice self care treat during my stay. Would stay again if i was ever in the area.

The Village Inn, hotel in Rothbury

Offering a garden and sea view, The Village Inn is situated in Longframlington, 19 km from Alnwick Castle and 41 km from Northumbria University.

Pub with friendly and helpful staff. Bed was comfortable, room was quiet and the heavy curtain kept out the light nicely, so we had a good night's sleep. Had a nice dinner of steak frites and a drop of decent local ale. Breakfast is provided in the cafe across the road, and it was good. Very good value for money.

Pretty village several good pubs and a really good Micropub.

Pretty village several good pubs and a really good Micropub. the amazing Cragside House only a mile and a half outside the village. N.T. over 40 miles of walks on the estate and 6 mile carriage walk which you can drive round. Queens Head served a good meal on Saturday night. Closed for meals after 6 p.m. on Sunday. Rothbury is only about 12 miles from Alnwick, an attractive market town with a castle used in Harry Potter films.

Small town with lots of quirky shops, three pubs, a wine bar and good cafe and bakeries. Lots of interesting things to see and do mainly connected with Lord Armstrong who was an engineer and armament supplier in the Great War. The town has erected the Armstrong cross on the green in front of the church and pub in his honour A visit to Cragside is a must!!!

Difficult to give a review as my paternal family come from Rothbury, however, its a great place to stay for a short break or to use as a centre for touring whether by bike, car or other mode of transport. Some great walks around the area and of course Cragside is a must visit place

'Little Heatherlea' is a cosy apartment providing most of the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. Our host was friendly and greeted us on arrival. The information booklet was informative with restaurants and things to do around Rothbury. The highlight for us was having a 'King' double bed, which made getting a great night's sleep possible.

Lou and Shaun were incredible hosts and the place was incredibly surprising - a wonderful Northumberland farm experience and the biggest B&B room we have stayed in. There is so much history to the place and a visit to Cragside is a must do to complement the Cragend farm experience. Can not rate this place or the hosts highly enough.

We've visited Rothbury many time over the last 30 years and have stayed at the Queen's Head Hotel and had many enjoyable family meals there. It's an old building and although it was refurbished a few years ago you have to accept that it's not a new building so there's some creaks and knocked corners.

We had the most amazing stay with Shaun and Lou in Rothbury. We highly recommend the farm for a stay in Northumberland. The breakfast was amazing, the location stunning and the hosts just lovely. They made our two children very welcome and they even got to feed the kid goat! Thank you so much.

The room overlooked the garden and outside bar area, it was reasonably large and the bed was very comfortable. The food in the hotel is very good, we had breakfast every morning and two evening meals during our stay. The staff were young, mostly inexperienced but friendly and working hard.
