Stunning location, perfect mini break! Excellent communication between my partner and the owner whilst we were enroute, absolutely blown away on arrival because it's quite simply beautiful and an amazing use of space, everything you need is at hand and a wonderful welcome tray from the owner for us on arrival 😀, had a flight over Northumberland with Paul and the whole experience was a fabulous way to mark my 50th birthday, thank you to Lauren & Paul and the lovely people we chatted with in the hanger, we will be visiting again. The property was very clearly well taken case of. The personal touches (extra bedding, salt, pepper, gift basket, kitchen utensils ect) all made the stay that much more comfortable. Dog walking facilities around the site are 10/10. Hot tub was clean and guides left mad easy to use.

Pretty village several good pubs and a really good Micropub. the amazing Cragside House only a mile and a half outside the village. N.T. over 40 miles of walks on the estate and 6 mile carriage walk which you can drive round. Queens Head served a good meal on Saturday night. Closed for meals after 6 p.m. on Sunday. Rothbury is only about 12 miles from Alnwick, an attractive market town with a castle used in Harry Potter films.

Small town with lots of quirky shops, three pubs, a wine bar and good cafe and bakeries.
Lots of interesting things to see and do mainly connected with Lord Armstrong who was an engineer and armament supplier in the Great War. The town has erected the Armstrong cross on the green in front of the church and pub in his honour
A visit to Cragside is a must!!!

Rothbury is quite a pleasant small town with adequate facilities. The nearby National Trust property - Cragside - is a real asset. Distances to other sites in Northumberland are generally manageable. Examples are Alnwick, Otterburn, Bamburgh, Wooller and Morpeth.
La Mensa is a lively and enjoyable Italian restaurant and The Turk's Head offers good pub food.
Property well maintained and managed. Modern with great bedroom/ living area upstairs with an excellent kitchen and bathroom downstairs, brilliant shower. Kitchen area perfect with dish washer, washing machine etc. Really good location and only a few minutes walk into the Rothbury and a good base to explore the County. Matt ,the owner, has put a lot of effort into this property.
The location is ideal to tour Northumberland or the coast. Views from the hotel are beautiful as is the breakfast and the tasty chocolate brownies on arrival. The host, Ann, and her family are extremely friendly and nothing is a problem for them. A very pleasant happy family to meet. Very clean and they work very hard to to maintain it covid safe.
Lou and Shaun were incredible hosts and the place was incredibly surprising - a wonderful Northumberland farm experience and the biggest B&B room we have stayed in. There is so much history to the place and a visit to Cragside is a must do to complement the Cragend farm experience. Can not rate this place or the hosts highly enough.
Great location for exploring. The cottage itself was very spacious and modern with everything you could need, including an equipment store. It was very clean, and the beds were super comfy. You could walk to Rothbury via the public footpath through the golf course next door, which was about 20 minutes. We'd definitely stay again.
Just loved the location of the property as it was in the centre of Rothbury, a lovely Town with lots of independent shops. Location was also great to visit other places in Northumberland. The apartment was very cosy, clean, well equipped and spacious. We would definitely stay again when in the area.
We've visited Rothbury many time over the last 30 years and have stayed at the Queen's Head Hotel and had many enjoyable family meals there. It's an old building and although it was refurbished a few years ago you have to accept that it's not a new building so there's some creaks and knocked corners.
Location is fantastic - 5-10 minute walk from Rothbury (a lovely little town) and a childrens playground.
Downstairs area is lovely and spacious, kitchen is really well equipped and bedrooms are pretty well proportioned.
I don't understand the negative reviews about this place. We paid a budget hotel price but found decent, clean rooms, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast.
What more can one want?
Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Absolutely beautiful location
Owners are very nice and very helpful with a good breakfast choice
(Craster kippers I recommend)
Very quiet location
Lovely part of Northumberland
Good WiFi within the property
This site of mainly privately owned homes is fairly small but absolutely immaculate, I have never seen a better maintained site.
Rothbury is a very attractive large village/small town with good facilities.
The property is in a great location for visiting many areas around Northumberland. The apartment itself was beautiful and in a really convenient spot in Rothbury. It was super clean and comfortable.
Perfect location for exploring the area and enjoyed looking and shopping around Rothbury. Lovely walk along the river walkway. We did have beautiful weather though for your me if year.
beautiful, historical hotel with immaculate hostel rooms. downstairs pub and dining area, plus upstairs tv room/seating area for guests. just a gorgeous building !
