The beds in the room were extremly comfortable. Many power outlets were also present in the room, which was really helpfull since my colleague and I had to charge a lot of devices during the night.
The owner of the inn was really kind and gave us details on local places where we could get food since you cannot eat here (but still drink at the bar)

Middlewich is a small town with a few town centre pubs and restaurants. Not very far from the town, there are walks along the canal path with a busy working lock. There are two pubs adjacent to the canal, one which serves food. It was a pleasant way to spend a sunny spring day.

Newton Brewery Inn was just a short walk from the town centre and supermarket as well as being next to the river, so for my trip this was a great location.

Loved the place it was OK for our stay and we could compare both rooms one was bijou and modern for our daughters and ours a large family suite. You could hear the road traffic but I can sleep on a washing line so it didn't affect any of us. The staff were so helpful and happy in their work.

I didn't really see much of Middlewich as I had an itinerary in Nantwich already organised. You will need transport to see any of the local sights, although I suspect there could be lots of local walks (but I haven't confirmed this).
I was very impressed with the whole set up. The staff were consistently polite and helpful. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast (included in the cost) was excellent (veggie option only for me, so I can't comment on the meat-eater variety!). I have needed a fair few places to rest my head while travelling in the past few months, but I can honestly say that I have not been in a hotel/guest house/B&B where I IMMEDIATELY felt at home, welcome and valued.
Wow what a place! Judith and her partner made our stay very welcome and if you’re considering booking a hotel then don’t as this place has everything you could need. The Annex was very clean and tidy, all the important things you need are provided and you have amazing countryside to explore. Will definitely like to book again :)
Location for my purposes was very convenient because I was working in Middlewich for a few days.
Facilities overall were very acceptable. Staff were helpful and welcoming.
Bathroom was clean and well presented.
There is much to look at and spend your money on at Hopley House if you have the time to check it all out.
I didn't have any breakfast with my room, as I had other plans, such as eating out. There was a karaoke evening on the Friday night. I understand that a karaoke evening is held every Friday night in the pub. I was in the Middlewich area for a brother's funeral. The landlady was very pleasant.
i liked the fact that we were close to the centre of Middlewich.I would say the rooms were cleaner and the beds were ok.it just needs a lick of paint and to be cleaner. The price was very reasonable ,the atmosphere in the pub was great.I would like to stay again.
Caroline & Clive were fantastic hosts, lovely location and very comfortable. We stay in lots of hotels and this was by far the best breakfast we have had, cooked to perfection.
Lovely hotel. Great bar. Breakfast was fantastic! The staff were brilliant. So friendly and helpful. They really couldn't do enough for us and everyone in the hotel.
Breakfast was very nice with lots of choice.
Easy to find and convenient for our reasons for visiting.
Lots of space inside and outside the hotel was appreciated
