It was a beautiful Japanese home stay. The hosts make you feel apart of the family and provide delicious Japanese food. They went out of their way to show us around the area and teach us about the history. The rooms are very cosy and the main living area has incredible views across the mountains.

Localizado no bairro histórico de Kurashiki Bikan, o Ryori Ryokan Tsurugata apresenta acomodações de estilo japonês num edifício histórico do período Edo. This was absolutely fabulous! The highlight of our trip and so off the beaten trail. The ryokan is stunning and right in the historic district on the canal. The 11 course dinner served in our room was delicious and such a special experience of Japanese foods. The breakfast was also delicious and traditional and served in a peaceful breakfast room. We loved the experience of the onsen, having dinner, and then taking a stroll by the canal in our yukatans. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Japan.

Our room had an adjoining garden, which was peaceful and lovely. The room was comfortable and well-appointed. The meals were traditional and delicious, with polite and kind staff. The bath was very enjoyable too.

The room was clean and spacious, the hotel included 2 onsen facilties on the rooftop alongside another on the lower floors, both the dinner and breakfast was served as a buffet with chefs handmaking sushi, steak, and egg orders fresh.

Bingoya is a wonderful traditional Ryokan and it was an amazing experience. Beautiful tatami mat rooms, shoji screens, sliding doors, hanging scroll alcoves, peaceful gardens with stone lanterns - perfect! Delicious breakfasts, which look gorgeous too. Lots of details in the buildings- inside and out, so it is lovely to contemplate your surroundings in one of a hundred different spots.
