Great place to stay to have easy access to Nara park and the forest trail. Room was huge and had a private bathroom.

Lovely owners and 2 funny dogs. My son was happy to play with them. If you come by car pls park on the big free parking Before entering Ikoma village. Then walk 3 min ( by stairs) to the Ryokan.

The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. The location was picturesque and overall incredibly pleasant to look around at. The property itself is very well maintained, truly delivers the classic ryokan experience, onsen are amazing and very enjoyable, the staff was wonderful and incredibly helpful. The food was something else - both the kaiseki dinner and the breakfast were delicious, filling and a great pleasure to partake in. Overall, would highly recommend, I had a blast staying at Kadojin.

Everything perfect, very nice and helpful staff, beautiful and cozy room and bed, you can hear the sound of river when you sleep, very good and yummy food, host even cook more dishes for us

The nearest airport is Osaka Itami Airport, 39 km from the property. This felt like less of a hotel stay and more of an experience as a whole. If you are exploring Nara I would recommend taking at least a day to just enjoy this hotel stay. We were greeted by extremely friendly staff who helped us with every little thing, from taking our luggage to ordering a taxi for our departure. We were served luxurious meals for dinner and breakfast in our room, by staff who set our table and made our bed. The location was magical with beautiful nature and deers roaming around outside. They had an amazing natural hot spring bath as well. Would warmly recommend this place.

Guests sleep in traditional futon bedding on the floor. Bathroom facilities are shared. Our host cooked us an excellent Japanese style breakfast that was delicious and very filling . It was a great way to start our day.

Kakimotoya is located near Mount Shigi, a 10-minute taxi ride from JR Oji Train Station. Featuring traditional architecture, public baths and seasonal cuisine, it provides Japanese-style rooms with a tatami (woven-straw) floor. Some rooms have a private outdoor bath. We were pleasantly surprised by the meals provided at the Ryokan. Meals were beautifully prepared. We didn't get to experience the bath but we hope to next time. Very clean, comfortable, and accommodating. The staff were all so kind.
