Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Extremely clean and comfortable, I had a room with private oven semi open to the outside, which was awesome. Very nice room well equipped. Staff members are nice, very professional and speak English, same for the owner. I highly recommend to have dinner there, it was delicious. Location is great, around 5 minutes from the main attractions of kusatsu. I would definitely stay there again.

What a wonderful experience! We loved the stay at Ryutakuzenji, the atmosphere was nice and zen and the service was excellent. Breakfast was also yummy and very filling. The head priest gave me a introduction to the temple and to be able to meditate inside the temple early in the morning was amazing. The place is not hard to find but you definitely need a car to access it.

Hanaingen is an adult only accommodation situated in Kusatsu, just a 2-minute walk from Yubatake, or the hot water field in Kusatsu Onsen. Amazing location within Kusatsu Onsen, a few minute walk from the bus terminal, then a few minute walk from Yubatake. Friendly staff. Welcome snack was amazing. Breakfast is included in price, and is hearty. They have free drinks that are refreshing (and not just coffee or tea). Four private onsen rooms are so good. Enjoy as a couple or solo in these rooms. Perfect for those who are inked. I stayed at the corner room with windows on both sides of wall. Two beds. Amazing room with colourful walls. Overall quiet stay even though my room faces the intersection.

This ryokan was the highlight of our trip to Japan. Excellent seasonal and varied breakfast options, with an attention to detail unparalleled in my travel experience. The soaking pools met our hopes and needs perfectly, and we preferred the private rooms to any of the town’s public onsens. Our room was very comfortable and quiet, and the location was great—away from the hustle and bustle of the main square. Staff were incredible—helpful, welcoming, and friendly despite our limited Japanese language skills! Would highly recommend for a quiet, peaceful stay.

Located along Houshi River, Houshi Onsen Chojukan features a public hot spring bath, Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and Japanese cuisine. The onsen is amazing, they all have a great atmosphere and they have a mixed one. Great dinner and breakfast too!

Oyado Tamaki offers indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and a traditional garden with benches where guests can sit and relax in. Everything was good/amazing.
