This is my second time staying at Ekoin and it was excellent just like last time. The meditation and fire ceremony were beautiful. The food was good last time but this time was even better, just delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and the shared bath is spotless and super comfortable. I cannot recommend Ekoin enough.

高野山 宿坊 龍泉院 -Koyasan Shukubo Ryusenin- se găsește în Koyasan, la 39 km de Tama Museum, și oferă vedere la grădină. Location is walking distance to main streets for restaurants, shops and bus stops. Whole experience was amazing, really remind me this was a Temple Stay and not a Ryokan. The monks were really patient and understanding for foreigners, tried their best to share their beliefs and traditions. Vegetarian Dinner and Breakfast was also great, simple but flavorful! Tatami room was as expected and more :) Shared bathroom/sento (?), was a first/good experience. Lastly, mornings prayer at 6am, should not be missed. Would highly recommend staying here for an Temple stay experience!

This is the best value for memories that we have experienced so far in Japan. From the moment you enter: the guidelines are clear but kind, the staff are welcoming, and the peacefulness surrounds you. If you're physically able, we recommend booking one of the traditional tatami mat rooms for a fuller experience. The food leaves you feeling full but not heavy as it's vegetarian. The whole space is very clean. Certainly get to the main hall early in the morning for a calm beginning to observing the monks' morning sutras. They will hold luggage pre and post check in/out, so explore the town of Koya San. The nearby temples and especially the cemetery warrant about 1 hour each to fully experience them. The Yukata traditional loungewear they provide may (and is encouraged to) be worn everywhere except morning prayers. The onsen within the building is open after dinner until ~9pm. Check it out. Make sure to wash yourself within the onsen room before entering. Lastly, read the information they provide to you the day before your check in so that you are prepared and respectful.

We really loved our stay in this Komyo-in Temple. We participated in the evening meditation, the morning prayer and fire ceremony. The dinner and the breakfast was very delicious and we were really pleased that during our dinner our bed was prepared for sleep. The location is very nice, it is very close to Okunoin cemetary. This was the highlight of our Japan tour and we really recommend vist Koyasan.

The room was lovely and the heater in the room worked very well. We got a window view of the street as it was snowing, so it felt magical. Very close to the cemetery.

Set in Shirahama, within 200 metres of Shirahama Beach and 1.2 km of Ezura Beach, Shirahama no Yado Daigo offers free WiFi throughout the property. Amazing stay at this hotel. Recommend it to anyone. The location was very close to the beach and many great restaurants. The staff were extremely nice and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious.
