Well recommended if you wish to experience a typical japanese stay ♥️.

Miyajima
Besides amazing nature views, comfortable rooms come with a flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge and an en suite bathroom. Yukata robes and green tea are provided. Guests sleep in Japanese futon bedding on the tatami (woven mat) floor. Everything was simply excellent and absolutely perfect. We felt luxuriously pampered in this beautiful ryokan. Its position is great, just minutes from the Itsukushima shrine and the great torii. It is perched on a hill, so rooms have the most perfect view on the torii and the sea. However, this is not an issue with luggage as there is an on-call free shuttle service from/to the port, that even picks you up on arrival, or delivers your luggage when leaving. Kaiseki dinner and japanese-style breakfast were highlights of our stay and absolutely fairly priced considering the half-board rate of the room. We also enjoyed the private onsen for a thirty minute slot that we could choose at check-in. Our room was very spacious - we guessed it could host 3 more people, with beautiful tatami and complete with yukatas to wear and a nice welcome tea served to us upon arrival. Amazing and unforgettable stay!

All rooms feature air conditioning and an electric kettle with green tea bags. Some rooms have carpeted floors and Western beds, and some feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. Each room has an en suite bathroom. Amazing host and super fantastic dinner and breakfast. It is Japanese style but had A/C and en-suite toilet/shower. But the high point was Shinko, the owner, who went out of her way to make us comfortable.

Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage space, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The ryokan features family rooms. From the moment we were first welcomed to this Ryokan we experienced an exceptionally warm, friendly and professional service from all members of the team. Rooms were beautiful and spacious. The private bathroom was wonderful. The restaurant really completed the experience - top quality food complimented (in our case) by a wine pairing. Dinner is strongly influenced by French cooking but with a Japanese twist. We were seated looking on to the open kitched with great interaction with the team of chefs. This was our last stop in our 28 day trip to Japan and was one of the very best. We took the breakfast plus dinner option and for the quality would consider it excellent value. A definite recommendation to anyone

This 2-star ryokan offers luggage storage space and a housekeeping service. Momijidani Park is less than 1 km away and Museum of History and Folklore is a 12-minute walk from the ryokan. Beautiful traditional Japanese guesthouse with 8 rooms. It is about a 5 minute walk from the boat terminal. The room was small but spacious and appointed with the usual Japanese amenities and lots of little special touches. The mattress was comfortable and thicker than a traditional futon. I recommend enjoying the sitting room at the end of the corridor on the first floor. We enjoyed a local beer that we purchased from the guesthouse in there. The host is very friendly and accommodating and provides information on the island. The breakfast was very nice Japanese style meal. It was also extremely clean - I have stayed at a lot of places and this was the cleanest by far, not a speck of dust anywhere. I highly recommend staying here.

Lovely place. Excellent onsen. Very good food. Very friendly and efficient staff. The waiters at dinner were particularly attentive and kind and the chef remembered my wife’s food intolerances from the original booking, so we were very impressed. If you want a ryokan experience - yukata, onsen, traditional food - with a little extra comfort this place is highly recommended.
View out the window to Miyajima was gorgeous. Loved the room with both beds and a futon tatami area. Breakfast was great. Heaps of options, fresh and yummy! Onsen was lovely! Shuttle bus from the station was great and timetabling of it was great for us to get in and out of town.
Japanese style room, traditional breakfast and dinner, free use of yukata and onsen bath for two, very nice staff
The hotel itself gives is beautifully designed and gives off a traditional ryokan vibe. The location is perfect and is a great option for those who plan to stay a night. They also provide yukatas and sandals for use around the island. The onsen bath was also very pleasant and I was lucky enough to receive a free room upgrade. Would definitely visit again.
The staff were very kind and welcoming, the room was spacious with lovely views of the ocean. Deers were roaming around freely outside. Dinner was a traditional Japanese meal with many courses, all lovely. While we had dinner our futons were laid out for us and they were very comfortable, we all slept very well. My daughter and I visited the on-site onsen which was spacious and had a very nice outlook. We loved wearing our Yukata’s for dinner and breakfast, made the whole experience very special.
The room had great views and was spacious. The futons were comfortable. The personnel was really kind and helpful, giving tips for where to go in the island and nice restaurants. The ryokan has a two onsens you can book for free for one hour, one of them with a nice view to a small garden, really nice. There is a kitchen where you can cook yourself which is big and a nice common area. We could not enjoy the garden as we stayed only one night. I would stay here again. Good value for the money spent.
This is a traditional Japanese style hotel: futons, onsen in the hotel. tatami mats. Really nice staff. Super conveniently placed for the ferry terminal and the shrine. Well worth getting up early and getting to the shrine before everyone arrives on the first ferries. Same in the evening. Stay here and see for yourself.
Spacious ryokan, friendly and helpful hotel staff, a shop at the lobby for last minute shopping, near shops and sightseeing places. They provided yukatas, water bottles, coffee, tea bags and delicious biscuits. They also setup your futon beds while we were out during dinner time.
Classic traditional ryokan (Japanese B&B) with an onsen (hot spring). Beautiful place. Immaculate service. I recommend taking half board to enjoy a fantastic elaborated dinner served in the room. The onsen facilities are great and there’s also table-tennis and karaoke 🎤
