Oyado Koto No Yume ligger 2 minuters promenad från Takayamas station och erbjuder färgglada rum i japansk stil. Fint traditionellt roykan. Kul att det ingick kimonos. Onsenbadet var underbart. Kul även att pröva på traditionell frukost. Vänlig och hjälpsam personal.

Iroriyado Hidaya ligger i Takayama, 18 minuters promenad från Takayama station, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering och en gemensam lounge. Vi stannade i två nätter, det var verkligen jätte mysigt och trevlig personal. Det blev ett missförstånd när det gällde frukosten, men det reddes ut snabbt med hjälp av översättnings hjälp. Vi blev bjuda på 3 härliga kalla japanska öl!

Toraya ligger i Gero, 48 km från Takayama station, och erbjuder utsikt över bergen. Denna ryokan med 3 stjärnor har luftkonditionerade rum med gratis WiFi och eget badrum. I like how the property is clean and has a good location.

Nagataki ligger i Nakatsugawa, inom 12 km från Amritsar busstation och 13 km från Ōi, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård och gratis WiFi samt gratis privat parkering för gäster som anländer med bil. From the beginning till the end, it was an amazing experience ! The host and his family are wonderful people. We slept in a house that has been standing for over 200 years, bathing in history and quietness. We've been served exquisite dishes by the host, whose cooking skills are tremendous. We strongly recommend this ryokan for a unique experience.

Mozumo ligger i ett lugnt område i regionen Gifu, en 52-minuters bilresa från JR Takayama Station. Här erbjuds bad med varmt källvatten och rum med modern japansk inredning. Lovely all the way through, the dinner set was the highlight and the staff extreme helpfull. Excelent for those who want a first experience with a Ryokan.

Yatsusankan erbjuder boende i traditionell japansk stil med rymliga offentliga bad. Här bor du 6 minuters promenad från tågstationen JR Hidokoukawa. I came here for my birthday. Unfortunately we didn't get there until late around 8pm, due to trains and train problems: they leave Nagoya every 2 hours and ours was delayed (so give yourself time to get there at a reasonable time) {I phoned them to let them know we would be late},you will also need to take a local train from Takayama. It was raining and we were cold and tired. Since we were late I wasn't sure if we would get supper even though I had paid for it. But thankfully we did and the food was excellent! Very fancy! We ate in a private dinning room looking out on to a garden. Our room was excellent! It was quite big for Japan. There was tatami mats, interesting monkey scroll in the alcove, interesting classy furnishings even the bathroom sink was beautiful. The hot springs/ baths were very good , I enjoyed the outdoor ones which had beautiful gardens. I loved wandering the halls of this ryokan lots of traditional architecture and art work (a beautiful folding screen). You really can feel the history of this hotel.

Located just a 1-minute walk from popular Miyagawa Morning Market in the heart of Takayama, Sumiyoshi Ryokan offers homely Japanese-style accommodation in the historic townhouse building. The place itself is a beautiful and well-maintained traditional home. The family hosting us were gracious, friendly, helpful and kind. Always smiling. We enjoyed two delicious included meals per day: Breakfast and dinner. The traditional meals were more like gourmet feasts featuring interesting local foods. The many little dishes were intricately prepared with stunning presentation. We also really enjoyed the experience of sleeping in a traditional room with a tatami mat floor. Very cosy! We'll be dreaming of our stay here for years to come and hope to visit again one day.
