Kaike Tsuruya offers Japanese-style accommodations and indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths. Guests can wear Japanese Yukata robes and enjoy traditional multi-course meals in their rooms. JR Yonago Train Station is a 15-minute drive away and guests can take a public bus to Kanko Centre Bus Stop, which is located right in front of the hotel.

Tsuruya Kaike Ryokan is a 15-minute drive from Oyama Temple and a 10-minute drive from Yonago Castle Ruins.

It was more fancy than I thought it would be, truly amazing. The Japanese style room and the public bathing area were both a fantastic experience. Close to the beach, with quite a few restaurants and stores around, direct bus to the station. There's a fridge, a kettle, some welcome teas and snacks, and a yukata for after the bath! They have three sizes. Highly recommend.

Kaike Onsen Hot Spring is about a 5-minute walk away, and Fukada Garden is a 15-minute drive. The hotel is a 15-minute drive from Yonago Train Station and a 25-minute drive from Yonago Airport. On-site parking is free.

A nice, modern hotel of an attractive style, and literally on the beach. The hotel's onsen was good too, with an indoor bath and one open to the air with views out to sea. Colourful yukata and geta are provided free, and you can also wear them outside the hotel to stroll on the promenade. As with most Japanese hotels, the rooms are rather small (especially if you're travelling with a number of pieces of luggage), but the space was well designed to make the most of the space available. Our family room had twin beds and then a raised tatami area with a table that stowed away so that a futon could be laid out for a third person. We had floor to ceiling windows with an awesome view of the sea and the peninsula (sunset was particularly wonderful). We ate the buffet breakfast in the restaurant on site and it was good value for money. The car park has plenty of spaces. We also used the bus, which goes regularly from a block away to Yonago station, in around 15 minutes. There are two convenience stores a couple of minutes walk away. Kaike Onsen is a good base point for Matsue, Izumo and Daisen.

Elegance, superb style and tradition - a delight to experience. Staff had limited English but we were well looked after with no problems. Appreciated the pickup and return service from Kaike Tourist Centre. Would love to stay again.

The hotel is clean and just next to the beach. We picked a seaview room from which we can enjoy a nice view. The onsen is nice too. The breakfast was offered by a restaurant next to the hotel. The food quality is not very high, but it did provide crabs and the staff were friendly, so it’s still value for money.

We booked just a room at the last minute, and it was in the older traditional part of the ryokan. Fantastic room and very comfortable. Great ofuro and lovely grounds, right near the beach.

It was so close to the beach/ seaside :). There are several convenient stores and a tourist info centre nearby that had bicycle rentals. It was also a bus station. The cottage was clean and well stocked with everything you needed, and they brought us fresh towels daily. The onsen bath was small but neat and perfect for up to 3 people.
