Lovely food, staff, baths, own private dining room, meticulous service and very clean area. I think it’s almost impossible to top in those regards. The room with its own hotspring was divine. The massage was excellent. Would recommend.

Firstly getting picked up by the hotels bus/van at the train station was EXTREMELY Convenient. They loaded all our bags and even loaded them in carts at the hotel to bring to the front desk. Check in was quick and they brought the bags to our room and showed us what the room had to offer. My Wife and I had the Deluxe Japanese Style Room with the balcony that had a private Onsen tub outside the room. The place was beautiful with the room clean and very spacious! The Balcony has a beautiful view of the Lake and the Onsen Hot tub was hot and relaxing! They had a variety of Yukata to wear and free drinks on the first floor. We went outside on the first floor veranda to enjoy the night air. We saw some kittens playing on the premises which was a great bonus! Then we had our special Kaiseki dinner, which was great! Course after course went by and the food was great, especially the local Omi Beef! Then we went exploring the area and checked out the "library" where we just relaxed and had complementary snacks and drinks. Then the foot pool and the public Onsen on premises. We got a couples massage after and went back to the room to relax and soak in the private Onsen again. The next morning we had a buffet breakfast with all the normal fare, but also some unique Japanese choices such as fish to grill on the grill, curry rice, and Onsen Tamago(Egg). Checking out was easy and the ride back via bus from the hotel was much appreciated!

everything was perfect,how they welcome you and explain the facilities,everyone was very kind and accomodating (my friend is vegetarian and they change the menu accordingly) the food was delicious,the room was clean,spacious and the futon super comfy. With an additional charge (but totally worth it) it's possible to use the near hotel's baths,that have open air baths at different floor (the 8th and 11th are amazing!) I would totally come back if I can. Thanks so much for an amazing experience!

The room is super spacious, can easily sleep up to 4 person. The 3 floor bathhouse has a outdoor bath for you to take in the good view of Lake Biwa . The location is really quiet and you can definitely rest up well after your snowboarding trip or your tour around the area.

The amazing traditional Japanese home and wood working! The yard is amazing. It is in a quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle in the main areas of Kyoto!

This is a wonderful place. The garden is old and exquisite, and while the house is traditional and quaint, it has a fully-equipped kitchen, modern toilets and comfortable baths. While it's a bit of a walk up the hill from the Misasagi subway station, the neighborhood is pretty, and there's a canal in a park. There's also a small grocery store right by the subway station, and it offers whatever a traveler might need for a decent meal or a pleasant bath.

Undeniably the best location in Kyoto, which is one of the most serene and beautiful places in the world. Simply put, this is literally one of the most beautiful places you can stay on the planet. The staff is absolutely lovely, and a special thank you to Okita-san, who kindly helped me book reservations at nearby restaurants.

尚凌 Taiwan

I was worried about being uncomfortable sleeping on the floor, but I was wrong. Whatever bedding they used was amazingly comfortable. Had a really good night sleep, better than regular hotel beds. I also thought the neighborhood might be a little secluded, but it was not. It was really close to Nanzenji and all the restaurants around there. There were also two festivals going on within walking distance (one literally across the street), so it was fantastic location! Great service and great food! My family of four (with 2 kids) loved it.
