Thank you very much for the kind welcome! We really enjoyed our stay here, the beds were particularly comfortable and we adored the kotatsu, looking into buying one in the future hahaha. The breakfast was fab, really appreciated the more traditional Japanese breakfast! The staff was very nice and welcoming. The room was spacious, beautiful and with all amenities. Meals were delicious and the staff patiently explained to us every dish, in English. The onsen was a welcome relaxing moment after a day of walking in Nara.

This was our favourite ryokan in Japan. We loved the secluded forest setting, proximity to Nara Park, stunning traditional wooden building, forest view from our room, and the delicious dinner in a private dining room (they catered for us vegetarians well). The staff is friendly and speaks English. Our room was warm on a chilly day. Drinks in the minibar (beer, juice, water) and tea were free.

A very comfortable tatami-mat room with a deep full soak tub. The location in regards to Nara Park was fantastic and I had a wonderful view of Tōdai-ji in the mornings. Things were very quiet, the staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was everything it could be including walking me through all the amenities they had to offer. They also provided local area maps with all the main attractions and let me know how best to navigate what I wanted to do which helped quite a bit with planning how I spent my time.
