Located in Portorož, just 400 metres from Vile Park Beach, Wingbay B&B provides beachfront accommodation with a garden, a terrace and free WiFi. Katja is a brilliant hostess, she rang me on the afternoon of arrival to say that we could book in early. We were greeted with a glass of prosecco and there was no fuss booking in. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to the waterfront and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was amazing with all fresh produce and home baked bread. As we were getting a very early morning pickup for a transfer to Venice Airport Katja made us sandwiches to eat at the airport which were very welcome.

Located just 31 km from The Škocjan Caves, Dobra Hiša Zdravja Čičarija provides accommodation in Golac with access to a garden, a bar, as well as a concierge service. We stayed for only one night and it was unique experience. Chalet was clean and big enough for 2+3 family. The owner is super friendly, she offered us dinner and breakfast, which were cheap but very delicious. There is a place outside to play with children or relax, the nature around is stunning.

It was very good. Typical Slovenian breakfast. There was also a restaurant there in the evening so if you didn't want to go out you could eat there.
