The room was just perfect, had everything we needed and more. The grounds and area were beautiful!

Maven Kustnära Stugor cottages are situated in the woods just 300 metres from the Baltic Sea, about 1 km from Kappelshamn in northern Gotland. Each cottage has a well-equipped kitchen including a stovetop, oven and a dishwasher. It also comes with a private furnished patio with a BBQ. Maven is a hidden, secret paradise. You really don't know you're there until you see your parking spot. All the cabins are off gravel paths, so they have helpful wagons to aid in getting your things to the cabins. Our cabin was very modern and comfortable, with a great kitchen, bathroom, living room and deck. The hosts Anne and Stefan are very welcoming, extremely generous with their time and rightly proud of their creation. There is no way to describe the setting, with walkways leading to all the different buildings open to guests. Anne led us on a tour of the grounds, while Stefan shared some construction tips and showed off one of his new cabins opening soon. This is the kind of place that makes you want to cancel the rest of your plans and stay put. We just happened to choose Kappelshamn as a stopping point on a bike journey, and we feel very lucky to have found Maven.

A flat-screen TV, seating area and private bathroom with shower are featured in each room at Almedalens Hotell. All have views of either the Baltic Sea or Almedalen Park. I must admit that, having made a booking for a stay at Villa Alma, I ended up being forced to cancel it at the last minute for unforeseen reasons. Under the reservation terms, I would still be required to bear a full charge - but the utterly courteous and understanding manner in which the property handled my request to waive that charge is by itself deserving of all praise. I will most certainly try to come and visit at a later date and will recommend the property to other people as well.

Classic décor, wooden floors and fridges are standard at Hotell St Clemens. Each room has a seating area and cable TV. The perfect location, in the center, but in a quiet part of town. Everything is nearby. The attached church "ruin" makes for a wonderful setting to breakfast or have afternoon 'fika'. The breakfast was delicious and a hardy start for the day. The truly most exceptional was the friendly and helpful staff.

Shared facilities at Helgeand Wisby include an inviting lounge bar with an open fireplace and comfortable armchairs. In summer, guests can relax in the garden. Ulrika and Tobias are amazing hosts: kind, discrete, available and friendly! The room's design and forniture was amazing and they care a lot about using local and homemade products for breakfast (bread, jams, granola, etc.) and in the room's equipment (soap and blankets crafted in Gotland). The night check-in instructions were very clear. After the check-out they kept my luggage for some hours and they were kind enough to call a taxi for me, letting me stay in a really cozy living room to wait for it. The hotel is located in the old town, close to the main attractions and facilities and very easy to reach by foot.

Kalk Hotel is boutique hotel located on Strandgatan, in a beautiful building from the 17th century, carefully renovated with a stylish interior and Gotland details. There are 21 rooms, all of which offer lovely light, comfortable beds from Jensen and luxurious bathrooms with limestone details from Gotland. Our room type was a Standard Double Room, and it was truly spacious, cozy, and beautiful. The breakfast was the highlight, making it our best accommodation experience throughout the entire Europe trip!
