We were 2 hours late , arrived in the evening , but checked in without problems . Absolute cleanliness , the kitchen has everything you need , the territory is well-kept . Great mattress , we slept very well !!!

In a quiet and scenic location at 1,200 metres above sea level, Hotel-Restaurant Siesta Balea is located in Piscul Negru on the Transfagarasan National Road. Very nice hotel, clean and friendly. We also had very nice dinner and breakfast at the restaurant with decent prices.

Located in Arefu, next to the Transfăgărăşan mountain road, Pension Bella Vista offers rooms with TVs. The on-site restaurant offers Romanian specialties and international dishes. Nice, clean and comfortable restaurant-hotel located conveniently on the Transfagaras highway, close to the Poenari citadel (sadly it is closed in the year 2023). Although the building is on the main road, it is not noisy in the room, because it is in a small town and the windows are on the side of the building. Good breakfast (chosen from the menu and additionally paid). Nice English-speaking people. Regular rooms have a balcony from which you could see some mountains in the distance. However, the name "bella vista" is far from reality;-)

Set in Fundata and surrounded by the green valleys of the Bucegi Mountains, Casa Muntelui provides accommodation with free WiFi, a large garden and on-site bike rentals. Beautiful location, great food selection, very tasty. The room was clean, nicely furnished, everything looked new and well maintained. The staff was super friendly and respectful. I find it super convenient the fact they had restaurant serving food and drinks so you don’t need to worry carrying that with you. Garden was big and sun beds are available to use. Overall we had a great time staying here and I most likely return!
