- Offering a natural setting in Ribeira de Pena, a 30 minute-drive from Guimarães and Vila Real, Pena Park Hotel features an indoor pool and a seasonal outdoor pool, a spa and a wellness centre. everything was perfect, to be honest. We did a couple’s massage with jacuzzi and we loved it. It was our second time going and we loved it even more this time. The staff was very friendly and we loved all the little surprises and kidness throughout the stay.

Situated in a former 18th-century wine estate, this luxury hotel overlooks vineyards and the Douro Valley. The room's view was phenomenal. All staff were extremely attentive to detail and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Pinhao.

We chose it because of its convenient location near SEF (just a 2-minute walk away) since our trip was related to document submission. The hotel building itself is antique and restored. The number of rooms in the hotel seems small, and they are mostly similar to each other. The room had comfortable beds with high mattresses. The bed linen was clean and snowy white. For those who get cold quickly, there was an additional blanket. The room also had an air conditioner and a small television (although its size didn't matter much to us). There was a hairdryer in the bathroom as well. A set of shampoo, shower gel, and two shower caps were provided. There were no issues with hot water, and the internet was accessible. There was also free water to drink in the room. The hotel grounds featured a charming courtyard with goldfish and a garden. We happened to be there during the cherry season, and we could enjoy picking them straight from the tree - they were very delicious! Next to the hotel, besides SEF, is the Castelo de Bragança, which is within a 10-minute walk. The city center is also nearby, and there are various cafes and restaurants in the vicinity. We were offered breakfast for 6 euros per person, but we declined. The hotel staff was very friendly and always ready to help. We needed an iron to press our clothes, and the employees were very accommodating, providing it to us. There was also a kitchen in the hotel where we could always make tea or coffee for free. Additionally, there was an option to purchase various snacks, water, or wine.

It is one of the most peaceful places we have been and the view from our patio was so serene. Everything about the hotel is first class. The meals with wine pairings were outstanding and Beatrix presented a wonderful and informing wine tasting. A stay like this in the USA would have been over $1000 a night so this was a great value.
