Beautiful nature, amazing views, the best place to disconnect, relax and have a break. Excellent service, friendly and helpful staff. SPA zone and outdoor pool are so cool. Perfect hotel to stay with kids. We will come back for sure!

During the harvest season, in September, guests can join the process of wine producing. There are daily guided visits and wine tastings both at La Rosa and nearby wineries. Guests can stroll through the vineyards and then relax under the vine-clad terraces. Excellent view, excellent people, excellent wine tasting, excellent wineyard. Everything is just excellent.

The hotel's restaurant serves traditional Portuguese cuisine in a refined atmosphere with clear city views. The bar is an ideal spot for relaxing and serves light snacks and refreshing drinks. From the minute we pulled into the parking lot to the moment we left we were treated like family. Sr Miguel was awsome talking time to make us feel at home every time he saw us.

Overlooking the scenic Douro River Valley, Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food is set in a historic country house and surrounded by a garden and vineyards. It features an outdoor pool and an on-site restaurant. Breakfast was lovely with fresh juice, pastries and fruit. We were also sent away with extra slices of cake and fruit for our journey! We also had dinner there and nothing was too much. The food was excellent but was clearly prepared just for us and made it even more special with all the beams and vineyard features such as barrels in the reception and dining room. The bedroom was very cosy and the bed was extremely comfy and bathroom with a bath was excellent. The room was very large and had lots of features to make us feel like we were in the vineyard. The best bit was when we arrived and we were greeted by the family with glasses of port from their vineyard for free before sitting by a toasty fire to warm up - perfect welcome!!

Solar de Santa Maria offers accommodation in Bragança, in a 17th-century manor building, in the heart of the old town, 75 metres from the Castle's gardens. It has a garden with cloisters and features free WiFi. We stayed at this unique place for a few nights. We chose it because of its convenient location near SEF (just a 2-minute walk away) since our trip was related to document submission. The hotel building itself is antique and restored. The number of rooms in the hotel seems small, and they are mostly similar to each other. The room had comfortable beds with high mattresses. The bed linen was clean and snowy white. For those who get cold quickly, there was an additional blanket. The room also had an air conditioner and a small television (although its size didn't matter much to us). There was a hairdryer in the bathroom as well. A set of shampoo, shower gel, and two shower caps were provided. There were no issues with hot water, and the internet was accessible. There was also free water to drink in the room. The hotel grounds featured a charming courtyard with goldfish and a garden. We happened to be there during the cherry season, and we could enjoy picking them straight from the tree - they were very delicious! Next to the hotel, besides SEF, is the Castelo de Bragança, which is within a 10-minute walk. The city center is also nearby, and there are various cafes and restaurants in the vicinity. We were offered breakfast for 6 euros per person, but we declined. The hotel staff was very friendly and always ready to help. We needed an iron to press our clothes, and the employees were very accommodating, providing it to us. There was also a kitchen in the hotel where we could always make tea or coffee for free. Additionally, there was an option to purchase various snacks, water, or wine.

Allowing access to guests with reduced mobility, Puial de I Douro includes a common lounge with a fireplace and a library where guests can learn more about Mirandês, the local language. Outdoors guests will find a spacious terrace where guests can relax and enjoy the natural tranquillity of the area. This guest house is a real gem, located in a small farm village about 10 minutes’ drive from Miranda do Douro on the border to Spain. We stayed here for three nights at the end of August 2022, had a bright, cheerful and modern room with huge windows and just a few steps from the pristinely clean swimming pool. The room was not located in the main stone house but in a separate building also bordering the pool. Sunshine and scents of the fruit trees and many herbs tended by the proprietors are some of memories we will take away—along with the homemade cakes available at the breakfast buffet. This old country stone house, renovated for guest lodging, is the perfect place for genuine rest and relaxation. The only sounds you will hear are birds chirping, the occasional dog barking and the splash of water in the pool. The reception was very friendly--we were given some suggestions on nearby sights and where to dine in Miranda do Douro (although the proprietress wanted to remain impartial and not rate them :-) ). The location is a 10-15 minute drive from the town of Miranda. This lodging is not a hotel or resort, but a country guest-house. It fulfilled our expectations and more.

Quinta Da Marka is situated in Covas do Douro and has a pool with a view and mountain views. The property features pool and river views, and is 23 km from Natur Waterpark. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. This was our best day in Portugal. We love the facility and the staff. Awesome views. Rooms are very nice And comfortable. Angela gave us great tips on local Quintas and restaurants. Would love to return someday.
