Saccharum - Resort & Spa is a luxury 5-star design hotel located on Calheta Beach, between the mountains of Madeira and the Atlantic Ocean. Great hotel! Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our room was quite comfortable with possibly the best bed we slept on during our month long trip. Bathroom was clean, and the balcony was a nice addition. Great AC. Parking was easy and close. This hotel has the best, most elaborate breakfast I’ve ever experienced. It was delicious and filling and varied. We loved the beach club area, though would recommend water shoes as the beach is quite rocky. Would gladly stay here again.

Teresa is a very welcoming person. We like our stay a lot. Bed is very comfortable. The room and facilities are very clean. Breakfast is just great and the atmosphere is very pleasant. This was a wonderful choice for our stay our week in Maderia, which threw everything it had at us including an earthquake (which our room handled perfectly). The breakfast was a great start to each day, the room was comfortable and spacious, and our hosts couldn't have been any more accommodating. The location is also perfect for anyone that wants to be close to the island's most beautiful sites. We arrived at our room very late, and Duarte was there to greet us.
