Saccharum - Resort & Spa is a luxury 5-star design hotel located on Calheta Beach, between the mountains of Madeira and the Atlantic Ocean. This hotel features a rooftop infinity pool, conference rooms, a buffet and an à la carte restaurant and four bars. Our stay in Saccharum totally exceeded our expectations and this has been the best and most welcoming 5-star hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. Check in and check out was quick and easy, room service great, good menu. The facilities in this hotel were outstanding, so many sun decks, pools, lounges, bars and restaurants to enjoy. Also the view to the ocean and a location was marvellous. We also enjoyed the SPA and it was a great retreat in the midst of our many hikes. Breakfast was also very good with lots of options to choose from located on the third floor with outdoor terrace overlooking the ocean. Truly remarkable stay, hospitality and amenities.

Guests can use the hot tub while relaxing with the Atlantic Ocean views. Massage services and a gym are available. For the sports fans, the Aqua Natura features a diving centre on site. The natural swimming pools are a few steps away. What a memorable place to stay. Both for the enchanting location and the hotel itself - which is lovely with inviting rooms, terrific views, a welcoming staff, and very fine restaurants Everything was 5*****. We loved staying here so much, we plan on returning for as long as a month. Top notch!

Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Casa das Proteas is located in Sítio da Felpa, S. Jorge, Madeira Island. It offers an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by lush vegetation about 50 km from Funchal.

All Proteas’ rooms are heated and have a private bathroom. Some rooms have a kitchenette and sea views, while others have wooden sloped ceilings. Excellent choice for our trip in Madeira. The hotel is at a beautiful village near Santana and has wonderful views over the sea. The room was in perfect condition and clean. Teresa was do kind and generous with us, so that we felt like home. The breakfast was delicious with so many choices. This is a great choice to stay during holidays in Madeira. Thanks for everything!!!

There is also respect of privacy. Breakfast was always freshly cooked. Fresh fruits just picked from gardens. The place easy to find following google map. The host also helps advising how to get there. Good restaurant with local good food a few steps away. Nice swimming pool, not heated but nice to get fresh after adventured day. When I back to Madeira I will not look for other place. Thank you for making my holiday perfect.
