The beds are comfortable and the place was very clean. We all enjoyed exploring and hiking around, including our 12 and 16 year old kids. We devoured the daily fresh bread. Olga and Roy were helpful and friendly. We had a delicious meal at Casa Ti Augusta.

We enjoyed the quiet countryside where Quinta de Vale Escuro is located and the beautiful property. We also enjoyed the swimming pool each afternoon. Our hosts were very accommodating, despite our language challenges. Thank goodness for Google Translate! One last note - our previous accommodation was canceled by the host due to illness, and this booking was accepted with only one hour notice. We are very grateful for that!

Mountain Whisper is a group of rustic houses that offers complete tranquillity and privacy. Located in Gomdramaz, they feature access to a swimming pool surrounded by a deck floor and a lawn, barbecue facilities and free WiFi. Entering this ancient xisto town with its steeps hills and adorable cobble stoned streets was incredible. Cars are parked at the entrance of the village, and we proceeded on foot for the next 100 meters to get to the room. It felt like traveling 100 years back into time, it was fantastic. The elevation of the location is pretty high, which means the views of the surrounding area are breathtaking. All you will hear here are birds chirping and the rustle of leaves. The staff is very welcoming and everyone made sure our room was tidy, and that we had everything we needed. The breakfast options are numerous and the quality was very good. Having access to a pool was refreshing in the midday heat. We really enjoyed our stay and we hope to visit again soon! We heard about this place through (instagram) @vivacoimbra

The place is absolutely gorgeous, from the dome itself inside and out and to the other facilities like the dining room which served wonderful food both for breakfast and dinner. The place has a lovely pool in which we swam twice in our one night stay - worth it even though the water is far from warm :) Definitely recommend
