If you want peace and quiet and a lovely view of the Altafjord - then this small family hotel is perfect for you! I was alone....though my room did not face the lake but it was still very nice. It had two open areas with comfy sofas and two massage chairs which I used a lot. The breakfast was amazing. The views were incredible. The fact that you can always have tea , coffee and a biscuits on no charge was really nice. It was only 20 mins walk from centrum which had amazing views. The gold explorer for the northern light do a pick up directly from the house Both ladies at the reception was very sweet.

Menginap di Holmen Husky merupakan pengalaman jauh dari tinggal di hotel biasa. Holmen Husky was the highlight of our month long trip. From sleeping in lavu to the food to the wonderful dogs that wait for you to walk past and rub their tummies. The staff are exceptional with a special shout out to Tess who fit us in for the amazing husky sledding and Wico for his amazing food. I cannot recommend this place enough. We even watched the Aurora from our bed! A great place for kids too....

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in Europe. Extraordinary breakfast buffet with varieties, free coffee and tea throughout the day. Very nice and helpful staff. It is almost at the front of the sea and can be viewed the northern lights easily. From the breakfast area, there is very impressive panoramic view to Fjords and sea. From the hotel bed room you may request for ocean view, which is recommended. There is a kettle and tea in each room. Room was very clean. The restaurant in the Thon Hotel is very good. They serve vegetables, fresh fish/crabs and meat! The sightseeing tour bus stops here in front of Thon Hotel. I will come back again. I recommend everybody to try this hotel for a visit!
