Our outdoor terrace is a perfect place to watch the Northern Lights dance across the sky in winter and in summer have a glass of wine while the midnight sun creates romance. I was alone....though my room did not face the lake but it was still very nice. It had two open areas with comfy sofas and two massage chairs which I used a lot. The breakfast was amazing. The views were incredible. The fact that you can always have tea , coffee and a biscuits on no charge was really nice. It was only 20 mins walk from centrum which had amazing views. The gold explorer for the northern light do a pick up directly from the house Both ladies at the reception was very sweet.

Staying at Holmen Husky is an experience far away from staying at an ordinary hotel. We want our guests to get closer to nature and to get a taste of what it is like to live close to the elements.

Holmen Husky is a small, family-run business who has been working with dogs since the 80s. Some of us have even grown up in the dogyard and on the sled. It is much more than an activity or an experience that has got us all addicted. it’s a feeling that must be experienced. We had an all around fantastic stay. Staff was really nice and proactive to make you feel at home. The included breakfast and the meals we ordered were delicious. Certainly a fantastic experience if you're looking for something other than the usual hotel room. And as luck has had it the weather allowed us to see a beautiful aurora right there and then.

On a picturesque waterside location in Tromsø, which is often referred to as the Paris of the North, is Scandic Ishavshotel, offering stunning views of the harbour and city.

Almost all rooms at the Scandic Ishavshotel are located at the very end of the quay and provide panoramic views of the surroundings. I came for the northern lights and stayed from 26th. Dec. to 30th. Dec. 2022 but did not see any.
