A mediaeval building overlooking River Isarco in the centre of Chiusa, family-run Walther von der Vogelweide offers alpine-style rooms and a restaurant with vaulted ceilings. A garden, disco and large terrace are available. The Walther Hotel is much better than its category, which is why we choose it for the second time. In the superior double room is the bed is huge and very comfortable, the bed linen is so soft and excellent quality, like in a five-star hotel. The bathroom is spacious and brilliant with the white mosaic tiles, and equipped with Simplehuman sensor magnifying mirror. The breakfast is first class.

On The Rock is set 100 metres from the mediaeval Castle in Arco, and offers free Wi-Fi, air-conditioned rooms, and a bar. Hosting permanent exhibition by local artist Dimitri Mitija Alberti, it includes a wellness centre. Paulo has to be the best hotel manager, greets you as if you saw him yesterday and nothing is too much trouble. Stayed at On the Rock a few times, and still it has to go down as one of our favourite places to stay. They've just got all the details right down to a tee. We stayed in the Junior Suite this time round - which was a super large room with great views. Breakfast is great; a continental offering with fresh pastries and daily fruit. The hotel is tucked away off the main street but pretty central to Arco with walking distance to lots of restaurants, bars and shops.

Breakfast is buffet style and is served in a traditional Tyrolean Stube, completely furnished in wood. Guests can spend relaxing moments on the terrace, equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas. We were late for check in as our flight was delayed, but the host was kind enough to wait for us. The location is enchanting, and the room is spacious, clean, with a kitchen, a dishwasher and a stove. Very recommended!

Rooms are comfortable and cosy with a sofa bed and satellite TV. Each one features a private bathroom and most have a balcony. Some offer views of the surrounding mountains. Fantastic Location, Hotel is Brand new and spacious rooms with a large terrace with mountain view and food was delicious and a breakfast with a large variety, staff is very friendly. 2nd floor has direct access to the parking adjacent to road and easy to load and unload luggages. We will be back in another season.

The staff was amazing. it happened that I broke my leg at a trail, and the staff helped me head to tow. very considerable. very kind!
