Rooms at the Solana are comfortable and bright. They have an en suite bathroom, heating and a TV. The hotel has a café-bar, serving fresh local produce for breakfast. There are also gardens, a terrace and a children’s play area. We were liking long distance and found the hotel staff and accommodations exceeded our expectations.

Alternatively, explore the beautiful scenery with a long country walk. Make a visit to the enchanting Altamira caves, under a kilometre from the Solana. Location, was not in the center of the noice. Very quiet and yet super close to the center.

Here you will also find clean, sandy beaches and pleasant green countryside. The castle was originally built in the 19th century by the Baron of Peramola. It now contains 9 rooms designed in a unique, eclectic style, all with fantastic sea views. My wife and I spent our honeymoon here. So, everything I say about Hotel Castillio El Loco and surrounding area may be rose tinted just a little... It is fair to say we had one of the best weeks of our lives here with a sea view from our room that was simply breath taking! The staff were amazing friendly and efficient. The rooms were spotless and well attended. The terrace bar and restaurant are very popular with the locals which in itself is a great recommendation. Its a quirky fun relaxed place. Great for couples in our opinion.. You will over look a wonderful bay and beach on one side and Suances beaches and marina on the other. You are not far from Santander and there are lots of beautiful places to visit but, why bother...

El Montero has a fitness centre, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Soto. Among the various facilities are a bar and ski storage space. The hotel features an indoor pool and a tour desk and free WiFi throughout the property. Fantastic place with really lovely proprieters who went out of the way to ensure we had a great time.
