The other villages and points of interest can be easily reached by bicycle or by car because Westerland is in the center of the island. Both the studio and suite we had booked were well appointed and very cosy, decorated with beautiful Riviera Maison furniture (not the typical hotel decoration). The beds were really very comfortable (and I'm very picky for the beds). The small kitchinette is very well designed and integrated into the decor of the room. The coffee (nespresso) and toiletries are replenished every day. The staff is extremely friendly. A special mention for Sven who gave us wonderful recommendations for restaurants, and the cleaning staff who were always very helpful and always very friendly, and the dark-haired lady (sorry I don't remember her name) who welcomed us so kindly on our first evening on Sylt (June 29th). The hotel had also organized the renting of three bycicles for us, which is a highly appreciated service so we didn't have to spend a morning doing that ourselves. On demand there is a parking spot for your car as well. The breakfast is excellent, with an incredible choice of jams and salty options (cheese, delicious verrines and cold cuts). The choice of verrines is really something unique! Another quite unique thing is that the staff remembered my birthday and had organized a small birthday cake and a glass of champagne as we arrived for breakfast. I've often stayed in hotels for my birthday, but it's the first time the staff spontaneously had this nice gesture. We will be back for sure!
